LETS GO TIGERS!!!!!
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

We need trades, FA signings and quality drafting to right this ship.....question is....is the current management the right group to be successfull in these areas ?

exactly what i was wondering...

even if we cleaned house. got rid of nolan and snow. can we trust the structure of this team to chose replacements who are capable of building a winning team? The ultimate problem with this team is that we dont have a smart "hockey guy" at the top. I'm talking a Scotty Bowman or a Pat Quinn, even a John Davidson who is doing a great job of building in St. Louis. Without a man with a plan...subpar will be the word of the decade

No offense, but the only place Scotty Bowman was GM was Buffalo and they weren't too happy with his performance as both GM and coach. I think they would have rather kept him as coach and get a new GM.

Pat Quinn??? What winner did he ever build???

John Davidson?? Much of the young kids there he did not bring in, though it looks like the drafting since he arrived has improved...(but I think he's been there for one draft). I think JD will turn out to be a good gm, but too soon to tell.

I know where your are going with the post though. We shall see about Garth.

How do you know there is no plan? Did someone in the org tell you that?

Its NOT like they didn't try to sign Top FA's last year....those people decided to go else where.

Name all the top FA's that went to St. Louis in the offseason? Please do tell....

Should Nolan go away from the first pp unit? Play Bergie more on the PP? I think this can be a good time of the year for Nolan to find out what some of the returning young players can do...

Agreed. He even says in interviews that the kid line has been showing energy and playing well. What is there to lose by playing them?

Like you said, see what the kids we have coming back can do. We know Tamby and Comeau are on the team out of camp. Same with Bergie. Give them some PP time and increase their minutes. Time for them to get more experience.

Why waste it on guys who we likely won't resign over the summer.

I like Fedetanko. Seems like a nice guy and I think his season was somewhat derailed by nagging injuries, but I don't see us bringing him back. He was streaky even when healthy.

Don't see Satan coming back. Hate to say it but he seems to be a better two way player, but the one way he was famous for seems to have passed him by. A guy with his hands shouldn't miss finishing so many scoring opportunities. I expect it from Trent Hunter...not from Miro. I think age has caught him.

I don't know about Joe Vas. I'd like to keep him as a third line center, plus we don't know if one of the kid centers- Franz, Walters- will be ready to move up next year and Silly is under contract for one more year. Would love to have Joe Vas fit into that 3rd line center spot, but I dont' think he's coming back.

Let the kids grow so the learning curve won't be so steep come fall.

At least by tuning in and being a huge Rush fan I see they are playing there on April 13th. On the boards behind Rick.

What is with the advertising on this site. Last week it was Rangers advertising and now I have "Teen Forums: Talk Right Now" Last week I was just mad, this week I am legitimately creeped out, WTF.

I don't seem to have any weird ads. Just the same top bar and bottom bar that were always there with ads that change.

Ok... I'm calling for Comeau to score.

How's that?

Reach? That's a 30 foot pole you got there.

It's possible if it is the only game we win the rest of the year....

Then draft Stamkos....

Then Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin all go down with career ending injuries...

And, Okposo rules the NHL...

and we have another Dynasty after moving to Utah... :dontknow:
