I actually thought KO looked demonstrably awful in the first period. He was rather plainly trying too hard, and it really showed.

He definitely settled down in the second and third, though, and looked pretty good out there -- not out of place, anyway. You can see why the experiment with him at center failed, though. He doesn't appear to have that sort of play-making vision. He'll be a solid winger, though, at worst.

He made plays tonight, i dunno what game you were watching. But most importantly, the kid had a nose for the front of the net, and thank god.

KO looked good last night considering he's 19 and thrust into the spotlight and promoed and interviewed and anything else that could get him nervous.

He was behind the play a couple of times but adjusted and contributed. I think we'll see him just get better over the next 8 games.

Overall a fun night at the coliseum. It's easy when you have no expectations and you can just sit back and enjoy without worry of the outcome and just watch the youth we have develop.

Moose, a pleasure to meet you. Here's the M&G picture.

And now for those problem guys who continue to spew forth venom about this organization and Rick DiPietro. As in our guidelines, you can always criticize the Islanders, never a problem with that, but we will not stand for constant bashing and trashing of the organization to the point where it creates a problem with the membership. And that's where we got to. DP4Prez, Awesomepatrol and Caber09 have gotten to that point and the complaints out weigh all else. I've tried to be as patient as I could but at what point do you sacrifice the quality here, the enjoyment of coming and posting, and the turnoff of the majority of posters.

As I've always said, I treat this place like a get together in my living room and if any guest bothers other guests where people are no longer enjoying themselves, then I ask those who are the problem to leave, and if they dont do it voluntarily then they are shown the door. This is how I feel about these 3 and will continue to show the door to others who disagree with the others just for the sake of getting under their skin. Conduct and respect will win out here.

This is not a public community, it's a private one set up by myself and some close friends and we will continue to keep the conduct here as it has been from the start. If we feel a poster is not acting appropriately we reserve the right to remove them at any time.

There is no appeal, people either act nice or they don't from the beginning, and personalities never change, so this is final and considered closed.

Thanks Webby. I was going to recommend that Zep and Caber have their own subforum here to bash Ricky, and that they are the only members allowed in that forum. Due to the length of his contract, he is going to be around here for a while. I get tired of hearing it, like everyone else.

I like the wrap-around attempt. He looked to have speed, power, and DETERMINATION to score.
Hope he gets one next game.

Being rather new here, I want to thank you for this board. I know I sort of fall in this "category" as well. My frustration comes from what I see on the tube and feeling that I hear the exact opposite coming from Howie and Billy (and the NYI site itself). I'll leave it at that (for this thread) and elaborate more specifics on the proper threads. I hope that I really have not truly offended anyone with previous comments.

With that said, and this is your "living room", WHERE THE BEER ALREADY???

 :D
