Correct me if I'm wrong, but not only is that his first goal, it's also the game winner.

It doesn't seem like anyone is mentioning that. Of course center ice cut it off at the end of the game so maybe they did.

This is the best moment since the All-Star break........Kyle gets his first NHL goal and it's a game-winner vs Brodeur!!!!!

How many players can ever lay claim to that??

Excellent stuff!!!

Lose Hossa only to get two first round picks, one first overall and another probably in the top twenty.

Quick rebuild, I'd say.

Wow I didnt watch too much of the game....I turned it on and bam...KO scored the gwg!!!! Thats some sweet sh!t!
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

WTF Kyle??? Why did you do that? Where do you get off going to the high slot on the PP and creating space for yourself, finding a seam and ripping a beautiful one timer past a LEGEND for your first goal. Why did you have to get us two points? I can't believe Okposo is so selfish that he doesn't want to share the spotlight with Stamkos next season...by releasing that wicked one timer, it could very well cost us a shot at the first overall pick.

And how dare you do what NOT ONE ISLANDER has been willing to do all season long...get to the front of the net and move in that 5'-15' area of the slot until you created space for yourself. We have 10 year vets that weren't willing to do that on the PP this season, but you think you can come in here and do it in JUST YOUR SECOND GAME?

What kind of attitude is that? If you keep that sort of play up, you'll be headed to....

AN ALL STAR GAME!!!!???? Great game by Kyle and his line. Was thrilled to see Teddy give them time AFTER that goal. Says alot about the line when we have a one goal lead and Kyle's line is out there for a face off in our own end.

I didn't get to see the first two periods. In fact, only saw the last 6 minutes of the game so I can't comment on Dubie, but from the looks of things...awesome game.

Scores really won't matter to me the rest of the year. I want to see the kids play alot and play well...get them ready for next season, but it is good to see their efforts rewarded.

Shooting from the high slot on a PP...huh. Who knew? :dontknow:
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

Here's a quote from Marty in today's Daily News. I guess he forgot he's only beaten us ONCE so far this year. Did he think we would just lay down. A team of hungry kids trying to win jobs for next yea. Team like that.....jeesh.

"It's one of the most disappointing losses all year," said Brodeur. "We didn't get the lead the whole game and against a team like that, they're just, to a certain extent, waiting to get beat."

If Nolan doesn't wise up and keep playing guys like Guerin, Satan and Comrie on the PP instead of Comeau and Kyle O, we could lose a good draft position...
