I dont think we need Stamkos. When the season starts up again next season I think we'll be ok. Dont forget, we'll have Sutton, Witt, Campoli Gervais, Sim and Silli back. 4 major guys on defence and 2 really good forwards. I think if we send down the guys that came up as an emergency I think we'll have a pretty decent team for 08-09. JoVAs stays, Satan stays for 1/2 the money, Tank stays, Berrard we love ya but its time to go....my 2 cents. Great game tonite. We played eh I think and we squeaked by. If I hear Crosbys name again Im gonna throw something. Honestly I think Malkin is better than Crosby...and thats without Lemeiux's teachings.

If we are lucky enough to get Stamkos that would be tremendous for the Islanders. This team needs some player changes or our fate will be the same as this year. Kyle and Blake are bright spots. Tonight the Islanders played well but i'm not fooled to think all will be fixed overnight.

no offense, but that is definitely YOUR two cents. If we keep all those forwards you mentioned, where do we put Okposo and Comeau? Bring them all back, then you might as well trade Tambellini now while he still has value.

You are right about them PUSHING Crosby on us. If I were Malkin, I'd be pissed. This team took off without Sid and Malkin is the reason why. He's a legit mvp candidate and he's ignored over a guy who hasn't suited up in weeks.

i say we sign Malkin and Hossa :punk:

anyone know the 3 stars? VS sucks and didnt show it and I cant find it on the islanders website
After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

Thinking back to that Devils game when Asham popped Spiler.

I want to know why NO Islander skated over to the bench to put Kevin Weekes in his place for
jumping up and down like an orangutan celebrating that. VERY uncharacteristic for him, he's always been a classy guy.
But you don't show up someone like that. Sorry, unwritten rule in hockey. The players play by a code.

Kevin Weekes, you better not be walking uptown towards NHL headquarters with your agent again anytime soon. I'll give you a piece of my mind ya bastid. (small piece, ain't much left)

I've seen that show and I'm not sitting thru the re-run. We know exactly where that team healthy and playing well will take us.....scratching and clawing into the 8th spot. No, Vas, Tank, Miro have all out lived their usefulness here.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Same thing last night when Comeau got decked. It was a clean hit, but the kid got popped good, and is our hottest commodity, so someone should've jumped in and shown you dont do that with our future star.

What would've happened if the same his was done on Crosby? You think it would've caused a smackdown?

AND HATS OFF TO MAMBY TAMBY FINALLY A POINT

GUESS HE'S COVERED TILL NEXT SEASON

PITTSBURGH WILL REGRET THIS NIGHT IN A WEEK AND AHALF

I'm glad Mamby-Tamby got a point. We wouldnt want KO to have passed him in his first 5 games. LOL. But in all seriousness should he have gotten one? He gave the puck up 3 times trying in vain to clear the puck out of his zone up the boards and not until Hunter join him down on the side board and help him out did the puck even leave the zone, then Miro skates in takes a shot, then with the bouncing puck Hunter knocks it in, while Mamby is still in the neutral zone. I know the NHL pretty liberal with the points but if I were the official scorer.... :dontknow:

Oh I almost forgot. Pics from last night.

We got the priviledge of meeting two Finnish hockey fans (Niklas and Heikki) who traveled from Europe to see Sean Bergenheim (see Trott, it's possible). They approached us (dont know if it was because of NYIC or not) to ask us what we thought of Bergie. One plays for Jokerit - Helsinki (the tall one on the left).

Because you guys are single, without a mortgage, wife and kids? I'd love to, but $400 a month for 14 months?
