I guess if we do win the the Metro Challange, it will be the consolation prize after 23 years of misery. I hope we aren't turning into the Toronto Maple Leafs of hockey.

Don't they already play hockey??

Bring back...PRIDE OF THE ISLAND
why would it get dirty tonight?

lets go out with class!

going out with class is better...than getting your *ss kicked around by avery.

I swear the Islanders don't have anyone on their team that can destroy avery. He can do whatever he wants on the ice and get away with it.

we aren't going to win tonight, its going to be the same lastnight.

won't be any fights at all, because the Islanders don't have anyone that will fight.

the Islanders are just playing out the season, they have no heart left...it showed last night. right after the first jagr goal.

heck, the rangers showed mercy on us...all those allstars against the kids...

thought the players had more class than the fans.

whatever....lets have a great draft....and sign hossa!

After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots"

3POTI,

no offense but what a depressing post.

wow.

This Islander team has been playing with less than half their opening night roster,
not including their goalie who (prior to getting hurt) was playing exceptionally well.

Everyone forget how we began the year?
Remember the RAG-TAG group of youth, vets and 2nd choice free agent cast-offs banding together
and despite their offensive limitations, gave us some, at least me, something to believe in
heading towards the midpoint of the season with cap space and trade deadline ahead.

We all know what happened then.

Now we're all in full depression mode. Not me. I'll vent but I love my Islanders.

LETS GO ISLANDERS.

I will chant that till I die.

The New York Rangers SUCK.

Here is the symbol for an a-hole...

anyone in this jersey:
