The Isles need to be better against backups... that's what Scotty G needs to drill into their heads at practice. If Patrick Lalime is in net... you need to score, damnit.

Usual ref garbage that Hunter got a penalty and the Slabre didn't.

Phew. It's over. 7-1. Ugh, I can't stand when the Isles lose to Buffalo. The guys should use this as a motivator to pummel Buffalo next month when they meet again. And if Thompson is going to get into fights, he needs to talk with Webb and Cairns.

Nice to see NO ONE showed up to this game wearing blue and orange. Bunch of empty carbon units on that bench today.

Dumb penalties, lack of checking, soft goal number one by Joe Mac, incredibly stupid officiating...how does Comrie get checked from behind and WE end up with a double minor?

The only ones who showed up today were Buffalo and it looked like a PP practice for them.

Just awful all the way around.
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

I4C, don't forget Hunter gets a lovely shot at the head and HE gets the only penalty.

I do like that Bergie jumped in to help his teammate even if he did get whooped.

When did Webb ever win a fight?...don't recall too many.

Witt and Bergenheim were already gone when we got down to the press room. No one said that Witt was taken anywhere, so I believe he left on his own power.

yes, it was interesting. The game just got away from them... early on.

lets put this behind us and hope for a better showing on Thursday... 7-1 is unacceptable, even for a team trying to find their identity.

Webb at least knew how to throw a punch.

Botta has a critical post about today's post game press conference. I really don't see what the big deal is with dressing DP. Newsday makes a big deal and Botta's post made a big deal. Newsday likes to smear the Isles any chance they get, so I don't put much stock into that, but what would have been the use of putting DP into a game that the Isles are losing 5-0? What would he do for a team that wasn't doing anything right?

Right On Time.
Not a great one to be at....

Anything I say I know it is early or some guys are young or old or what not but just like schedules, just like tests I can only go over whats on the plate.

1) Comrie is the same as last year. His head down, his LOW percentage plays and his after the whistle penalties. He did get banged but self control is all-time low.

2) Okposo is rough around the edges and that is to be expected, but he won't be an instant all-star.

3) Hunter played hard all 60 minutes, nice to see him rip it too. This was a rip and the other game he scored, he put a hard shot on the puck.

4) As my man Snowman said while we spoke in-between periods, Bergie doesn't get enough ice-time (Obviously while he was still playing). The same happened under Nolan.

5) Mark Streit. Brings some good things and he is a CLEAR step-up from MAB, but he does have a little of that in him.

6) A lot of times the goalie can't be blamed for goals... Big Joe played bad, than his team got worse, but a 7 spot is what he got and you are what you are.

7) Tambellini showed some good speed, playing harder, does look stronger.

I will stop at seven points in honor of the score. I always feel these are better than 2-1 losses. You re-focus, coach can preach a little etc.
