Stars just got their ass kicked by N.J. Five to zip. They'll be out for blood tomorrow.

Rick had better be on his game.

and should be tired since it is back to back(Dallas). No reason the Isles shouldn't be ready for them after 4 days rest.

Both One team are rested so hopefully the boy's come ready to play! I really hope we don't have a flat opening period! This also starts a 3 game in 5 night stand so it should be interesting to see how they handle DP.

yep.
They played a great positional game against the Rangers the other day and followd it
up with a clunker last night to the Devils who forced them into many lapses in coverage.

Our boys will have ot be almost perfect to avoid a disaster tonight.
Good luck.

But shouldnt our run and gun, constant attack forecheck play well against any team's second game in back to back nights?

If this organization ever needed a weeknight win in October, tonight is the night.
At the end of the day, it's all about the whiskey, gambling and women !

:goodmorning:

Victor Hedman and John Tavares.
One of them will go #1 in next years draft.

If we continue to get creamed, we'll be that much closer to drafting one of those phenoms (or trading down to restock some more)

This pre-emptive feeling of defeat, this early in the season is going to make it very tough to maintain interest all the way through a very long season. I'm not sure I can be a "rebuild type fan" :(
It's pretty unusual for me to have absolutely zero enthusiasm about a game this soon into the season.

...in the interest of enjoying the season I'll have to hold out hope that this team can actually be good this year (stranger things have happened no?)...soooooooo tonight would be a great opportunity for our offensively challanged roster to take advantage of an atrocious Dallas defense and score some goals

Listen, I've said it before and I'll say it again....rebuilding is an organizations excuse for either not wanting to spend money or their way of asking the fans to standby, keep paying premium ticket prices while they "attempt" to fix their mistakes. There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN THAT !!!!

In my opinion, you can build while staying competetive if you do it correctly. Just look at how the Sabres have done it over and over again.

Having said that, there is no excuse for being one of the worst teams in the league unless your management is failing.

I'm not even remotely interested in rooting for the "young guys" to develope while we get our a$$es handed to us all year long. We have enough experience and youth on this team that I expect a win each and every night.

Who the hell wants to drink all that beer and do that much damage to their liver with the only reward being "the possible and unlikely development" of some young hockey players ???

Not me !!
