"Ottawa (6-7-2) has dominated the Islanders (4-9-2) since entering the NHL in 1992-93, going 36-11-1 with 11 ties. That includes a 10-1-1 mark in the last 12 meetings, scoring at least four goals in nine of those games. The Senators also knocked New York out of the playoffs in 2003 with a 4-1 series win in the opening round." I don't have any high hopes for this one either..............

And it's that assumed conclusion that may just let us surprise. Who knows, stranger things have happened. I'll be playing the ole picture-in-picture swap tonight between the Isles and the Jets. |

and our year is doing so great? I might watch the Jets game tonite |
| After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply? "Empty-net goals are for faggots" | |

People, the time will come when we will put together three solid periods. No goofy gaffes to give the game away. No "running out of steam" in the third period. And I know I'm in the minority, but I want to watch the kids. Our chances? Not good based on the past. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing. They are in as bad a shape as we are, so why not? I will watch. And I will root for the likes of KO, Bailey and everyone else to show me something. Anything positive. And anything can happen. |

I'll watch the game until its time to go to the bar to see the Jets on NFL Network. |

Just an FYI, I've heard a couple of people say the Jets won't be on TV bc they are on the NHL Network. On LI at least, the Jets will be on WPIX 11. I think in the NFL TV contract all areas deemed to be "regional" for a team must be televised. The tough part is figuring if you're in the NY Jets Region. |
