We've all heard that Sillinger has completed his 3 game conditioning stint...since the Isles are off for a few days, can he play in the Tigers next game? I'm just wondering what the rules stipulate.

I believe they've said once he completed the 3 games, he'd then start practicing with the team in preparing to rejoin them, possibly on Thursday.

Let's get him healthy and productive, make him an attractive pickup at the trade deadline.

I just hope with the return of Sillinger and Witt this team doesnt get too slow for the System. We'll find out real soon if these guys are GSF (Gordon Style Friendly) or will join Mike Comrie as non-system types.

I'll give Comrie the benefit of the doubt since he says he has been hurt since the beginning of last year.

Sillinger is simply stop-gap. I don't see him remaining with this team beyond this year.

The Isles are gonna need more speedy type of players if they are to succeed in Gordon's system.

How long until we hear that there are actually TWO systems - Overspeed and Underspeed?

Not too long. This photo just leaked of Flash Gordy's gear shift.

Seems there's actually more than just two though.

This just in from C. B. s blog

Mike Sillinger has been recalled from Bridgeport following his three-game conditioning stint.

Tim Jackman and Jeremy Colliton were reassigned to Bridgeport following the Islanders’ 4-2 victory over Ottawa nearly 48 hours ago.

I can't see Jackman being sent back to the Bridge, he's been one of the best players they've had for quite a few games.

Doesn't Trent Hunter prove that you don't have to have blinding speed to be successful in thss system? Plus, with Sillinger's faceoff ability, maybe that will help prevent these 3rd period collapses.

We need the Jack-Man. Get rid of #15. #28 should stay on the roster.

Absolutely the right thing to do. But let's not forget the NHL is a business and they realize Tambellini has a one-way deal and Jackman has a 2-way. I think that their main job is the put the best team on the ice, but 2-way contracts have a way of changing things unfortunately.

Excellent point about Hunter and the system. I was thinking the same thing when I read his original post.
