Right On Time.
I know that Mike isn't a big hockey game, but coach was the first guest on today's show (DVR'd it just watched it now). He let Coach speak a lot, they had some laughs and coach was on a good amount of time.

Few points from the interview:

1) Explained the fore-check in some details.
2) Said the biggest adjustment has been practice and times and intensity.
3) Agreed about a new building but says "we" the fans are loud and crowds overall good.
4) Talked about how we are 8-5-1 the last 14.
5) Said the best team they have played have been the Bruins (Depth, two number one goalies). Also said it has to do with a guy who used to coach the prospects (They had a good laugh).
6) Likes Long Island a lot.
7) Ricky came up, nothing real different, other than loves his lateral movement.

Speaking of Scott Gordon... THose of you who have Newsday... WHat do you think of Today's Islanders ad featuring Gordon?

First of all, as an Islanders fan, I thik it's one of the classiest ads they've printed in years (Having endured the days of the family with blacked out teeth ads and the bodega style ones.)

And yes... the ad came from the company that actually pays me to work. So as an employee, I'm really really proud of this one!

Just had to say! :D

I hope I'm wrong, but I remember Mike and the Mad Dog having Laviloette on all the time and he bang! he gets waxed.

Gordo, stay away. It's the kiss of death.

Does Newsday still have a print edition?

If you had anything to do with it, it must be good.

I actually watched this interview on TV. Mike was really into it, and Scott rarely ever made eye contact with him while he was speaking. But they had a good time.

Mike also talked about how trying to push the lighthouse project now will be much harder in a recession, and then laughed and said you'll be in that old building for a few more years.

Can't argue with Mike about that. I think we will have to be in that building a few more years.
