Who else wants this guy to be resigned? He really has showed that he worked hard in the offseason and came to camp working harder than most. He seems to have turned it up a notch and proved he can bring the effort every shift, which for me is impressive. What do you guys think? 2 years, 700k, 1-way is what i say. Reward the guys who put in the effort and play like they want to be here. |

I hope we resign him for another year or two. It's attitude like his we need to change this club into a winner. What he lacks in talent he makes up for in drive.

Agreed. But the day can't come soon enough when we start talking about signing and resigning TALENTED guys with heart. I love(d) guys like Colley, Jackman and the dozens of others that we've had over the years that leave it out there. Unfortunately, only Blake really turned into a true offensive threat. But Jackman has done himself well with his time up here and has done everything he can do to earn himself more playing time. Good for him. |

Authority without wisdom is like a heavy axe without an edge: fitter to bruise than polish. Anger makes dull men witty, but it keeps them poor. In the beginning, the Universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. | |

He should have a permanent place on the 4th line of this team. I like what the guy brings. |

NO! how many times do we have to learn these lessons? just because a marginal player puts together a good stretch does not mean it's smart to guarantee them a roster spot for the future. is Jackman a good, servicable player who gives his all? absolutely. but will he be part of our long term future? absolutely not. therefore there's no reason to guarantee him any sort of roster spot beyond this season before we absolutely have to. worst case scenario, we wait too long to sign him and lose him to another squad, and we have to bring in the exact same player for a minimum deal. the league is overflowing with Jackman-like players. Or the spot will go to a young guy without that high a ceiling. after all, everyone unanimously wanted to resign Fedetenko to a long-term deal last year after a good start. how would that look right now? |

I like Jackman, and I think he can help the team in the future. He deserves a spot on the fourth line, but let's wait until the end of the season before we jump to resign him. I agree with not jumping to guarantee spots to marginal players when they have a good stretch. If Jackman gets signed, we need to start moving players like Sim. Currently, the team has too many fourth line players: Thompson, Hilbert, Park, Sim, Fritz... No reason to guarantee more fourth liners. We should have 1 fourth line, not 3. |

jackman has been really good this year. Here is what i don't get. Him and nate thompson play the same role and frankly i believe that jackman does it better, they have pretty much identical stats at this point but jackman is always buzzing, is thompson on a one way because i do not understand why jackman always gets sent down. Thompson seems to be on the team solely because gordon likes him. He has been ok but if i had to choose one, i take jackman |

Similar to the Nolan-type players, Thompson plays because he is a Go-Go player. Probably the same reason for Hilbert on the PP. I like Go-Go, but I think he does some confusing things. |

unfortunately for us as fans, Thompson and Jackman have been our best forwards throughout this whole losing streak. |

Every coach lobbies to get his guys on the team, this is not unique to us. |

This team has too many fourth line players and too many 7th defensemen. It's why this team stinks. |
