I am officially proclaiming that Jeff Tambelllini sucks.  He's not worth the roster spot.  How much longer do we wait for this 'sniper' to score.  he had a chance on a partial breakaway, but with his 'speed' a defenseman caught up to him.    He's invisible and with the exception of that shot has nothing to even show he played last night.  he's soft, 0 hits, 0 blocked shots.  He's worthless, 1 shot, never in a good position to shoot.

Now Tim Jackman gets called up and is visible every shift.  The guy came in with purpose and worked hard, played physical and was in the right position to net a goal.

He had a goal, 4 hits and 2 blocked shots.    I see Jackman as the next Dave Scatchard for this team and if we send him back to bridgeport before permanently sitting Tambellini I will be very upset with management and their ability to put the best team on the ice with the resources they have.

GARTH,
TRADE, WAIVE OR SIT JEFF TAMBELLINI ONCE AND FOR ALL.  ADMIT THIS PROJECT WAS A MISTAKE AND MOVE ON.

THE SPOT BELONGS TO TIM JACKMAN.

Agreed...4 seasons is enough. He just can't make the jump to the NHL for whatever reason. Put him on waivers...he'll get picked up by a team and will be a star in the AHL.

Oh yeah. The other 29 teams are licking their chops, waiting to see him on the waiver wire. Or, he is still being used him wrong. The two headed monster, Snowang, struck again when they proclaimed him ready for the NHL.
If Bridgeport is doing well, he will make them better. Now get Comeau up here, we need some hockey players.

Now seems like a nice time to remove him. How bad of a penalty was that, leading to a possible backbreaker goal.

Ughhhhh.

I FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT HIS FUNCTION SHOULD BE

WHEN HE HITS THE ICE JUST LAY DOWN

JUST LIKE A SPEED BUMP

HE'D DO MORE BY JUST GETTING IN THE WAY

BUT IT WOULD GET SAD WATCHING THE LINESMEN PICKING HIM UP AND THROWING HIM OVER THE GLASS LIKE A GUM WRAPPER EVERYNIGHT

Tambellini should get more ice time to develop quicker :punk: :punk: :punk: :punk:

Now that his favorite center is out for the next few months, it'll make the hill a little harder for Tambellini to climb. ;)

We'll get rid of him for something cheap, then he'll turn in to a superstar.

Let him, because it's not happening here.

0 goals in 18 games. ZERO!!!! None, nada, zippo!!. Why is he still in the lineup.

He averages 1 goal every 25 games. Hell, shawn bates had better numbers.

And get this he's a MINUS 8 also, so where else is he contributing? His projected numbers are 0 goals 8 assists 8 points and a -32.

He brings nothing. He's not providing offense and he's not providing defense. So either make him a trainer or get his ass off the bench.

Agreed, lose him. He will NEVER become a superstar anywhere else. NEVER. He is simply one of those guys that is suited for the talent level of the minors, not the bigs.

Face it, he's playing teams with talent levels below the NHL and in some cases, have rosters filled with guys who will NEVER make it to the big show. And he excels there. Why? Because his talent level is only minor league.

Colliton, Comeau whoever should be getting time here.

What a waste.

OUCH! Now Botta has joined the ranks of anti-Tambellinism. This is starting to turn ugly.

Even I, who was defending him, can't really do so anymore. I had said to give him til the mid-season and I still stick with that, but you have to wonder if it will ever happen.

Just Sayin'

Let’s say the Islanders wanted to take another shot at restoring the confidence of Jeff Tambellini by sending him to Bridgeport for a couple of weeks of AHL goal scoring. Tambellini, who has 0 goals and 2 assists in 20 games this season - 1 goal in his last 50 games as an Islander - would have to clear waivers.

Tambellini - 11 minutes, minus-1 tonight - is in the first year of a two-year that pays him $550,000 this year and $625,000 next. That’s not big dough compared to healthy scratch Petr Prucha’s $1.6 mill this year, but Tambellini’s deal in one-way and most NHL teams have trouble enough keeping it to a 23-man roster.

Guess what I’m trying to say is, if Gordon and Garth Snow don’t want to send Tambellini for an AHL tune-up because they’re happy with the rest of his game, wonderful. But I wouldn’t lose sleep over losing Jeff to another team on waivers. And if Tambellini was picked up by another franchise and given a fresh start, that wouldn’t be such a bad thing either.
