look on the bright side...we made MAB look good.

I've decided to be a fair weather fan...call me when they move.

Too bad we have all of these one-way contracts, and no one wants our waiver trash.

Mitch Fritz played a total of 0 shifts tonight for 0 minutes and 0 seconds with 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 shots, 0 hits, and 0 fights...now that is definitely production that Comeau would not have been able to match tonight...great call by Gordon, without Fritz sitting on the bench tonight this one might have been embarrassing...........

Rolling four complete lines would be helpful, Go-Go. No reason to bring up players to sit on the bench.

Look at the upside: He doesn't get a minus rating for tonight....

yes, Comrie is trying to prove himself worthy and that he fits in Gordon's system.

Doesn't he know that probably makes him less valuable in the open market?

We'll have the opportunity to pick 1st but do you think Garth will? Or trade down again for a handful of picks?
If you see someone down on the ground, you lend them a hand. Unless they're a Rangers fan, then you kick them in the face.

I hope so.

I've posted a few interesting quotes from Fire Dept. Islander fans from last night on my entry. I'm sure most of you feel the same way they do.

Didn't we do that in 2000 :selfhit:

2 teams in downward spirals. 2 teams with lots of pressure to do better.
Yet we get outworked, outshot and outscored 4-1 and if not for some great goaltending it could have been a shorter press conference by the clueless one.

Over Speed?
yeah, it's over.

You need players to execute that system. He doesn't have them. Outside of Bergenheim, who has really great speed on the team?

Campoli, Meyer, Tambellini ( before going to bridge ), Nielsen ( before injury ).
And, not making excuses for Tambellini here either, just answering the question.

it's the system.

Okposo and Bailey have some speed, though not like Bergenheim. Go-Go may not have the personnel, but that doesn't mean you don't make adjustments to what you do have. That is like last year when Nolan said, you play with what you got. He didn't make adjustments either except the ones he was forced to make, and he's sitting at home.

No I in team, but there is an "m,e".

Well Zeppy, there was the "torch". :D I tried my best to be encouraging in the sea of Wild fans.

Posted Image

But I guess the "torch" wasn't enough. :disgraced:

I got Joey's attention at one point in the 1st, to give him an "atta boy". He was doing good for 2.

Then that 3rd was the turd that hit the fan again. I took the razzin from my buddy and his cousin. As soon as it ended, so did the free beer. I went for the Jack and Coke. :drink2:

No Fritz - Boogie Fight. Boogie gets more ice time, just by stepping on the ice.

But the worst thing I saw was Pierre-Marc Bouchard schooling Kyle with a flip of the puck over his stick and "sticking" it in the net for the 4th goal. That SUCKED!

So we are sitting in the "Fishing Lodge" (bar under the seats) when Guerin cut through. When came back through, I shouted a, "GUERIN" and he waved back. Probably not too hard to figured out who said it when there's only one Bossy Islander jersey in the bar.

So I have go through the hallway to hit the can. As I got in the hallway and started walking, I look over to who I'm walking with...... Mark Streit. :o So I told him the basic :blah: game. He said, "We played an awful game". He seemed really bummed about it. So all I could tell him was to just hang in there and keep on trying.

Walking back to the bar, I saw Bergie looking at his texts. Then came that little G.Q. Shrimp :angrier: Comrie. He was walking with Jackman I think. Now I'm buzzing a bit and I really wanted to tell Mikey that he sucks. But I left it at that, no point in it. :angrier:

So there's another Islander game I've gotten to see live and another one in my "L" column. 0-5

I put some other pics up in the photo area. :angrier:
