Yes, DP with the win! Nice win boys (hey any win is nice)
If you see someone down on the ground, you lend them a hand. Unless they're a Rangers fan, then you kick them in the face.

Right On Time.
Real good night. A few points....

- Comeau is noticable ALL the time. Maybe our most talented offensive player AND it isn't as if he dissapears on D or is soft.

- DP played real well, he still loves playing the puck like a 80 point D-Man though ( I still feel it will do more harm than good).

- Witt and Meyer had two of their best games of the season.

- Nice full crowd.

- Comrie just has something a little off, all the time with him. It isn't that he sucks, his line does well, but he is always a second late or a dollar short.

Conerning Comrie...I feel the same way. I've never seen an nhl forward who on their slapshot has absolutely NO FOLLOWTHRU. It is ridiculous. He practically recoils the stick on impact.

He must have had 3 shots from point blank range tonight and instead of taking a hard snap shot or wrister, each time he tried some cute shot where he attempted to just slide the puck as if it were a pass between the goalie's legs or something.

Right now I'm watching the golf channel and they are doing that skills challenge where players try to hit a shot and break a paine of glass. I don't think Comrie could with either a slapper, snap or wrist shot.
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

Do not forget the biggest reason for solid play last night....................the return of Bruno Gervais.

I was there last night and the first thing that struck me was the presence of Sillinger, Gervais and DP of which I didnt think any were closer than a week away still. My first thought was DP ready to be thrown to the wolves. Guess that was answered. He played poised, simple and was very effective, square to the shooter, didnt try to do too much with the puck, yet still move it enough to keep it away from him.

All during the losing streak I kept saying I wouldnt mind the losing if the youth showed promise. Last night they did just that. Comeau and Okposo are our best players right now, Bailey looked good, even better after he thought he scored. We were a little disappointed seeing that goal taken away, but I was told the replay was clear, but it was his play that caused the goal. Even Tamby got a point, so all you Tamby lovers must be lovin' it and touting him as the next Great One. And to add a bonus to the kids contributing and being the standout ones on the team last night, we won!!!

We had three very nice tourists behind us last night. Turned out they were from Australia and were in NY and wanted to see a hockey game. They were rooting and cheering like crazy and really enjoyed it. Glad the Isles won or they would've left the place Leaf fans, but they left Islander fans.

My son and I had a great time leaving there with a team that played well for the first time this month and showed promise.

And dont worry Poti, we're still in it for the Tavares pick, DP or not.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!
