Jon Sim sucks....but besides that im glad Hurricane Comrie is comin through I was the only one defending him for a long long time now. I get into debates at the games about him.

I was always a supporter of Comrie but the fans' expectations of him have been too high for a long time now. The guy's a solid 2nd line center when he has use of both of his legs. His backcheck has been a little better since hes been back as well. |

That was a great afternoon game. I think that call on Sim was bushleague. He was outside the crease, on white ice. This sport is suppose to be tough, in the trenches and a call like officials are making this a pansy game. I will agree with Ed....Jon Sim sucks. And Bergenheim seems to need someone draped on him for him to score. He made some nice moves. If the kid only had hands. Okposo and Comeau have taken charge of this offense. Mike Comrie is reaping the benefits of their hard work on the forecheck and breakout. Good for Comrie, at least goals are going in for us. Okposo has really become the Islanders main offensive player and his game has really matured in how many games, 40?, too lazy to look it up. You really take notice when he and Comeau are on the ice. Hope it's the way things will be and not something we'll see here and there. I dont think so, they seem to play very well together and right now the only thing bad that could happen is if Gordon splits them up. You know, how coaches try to spark other players. Dont shake your heads, this is the Islanders and stuff like that happens all the time. I hope he just keeps them together for awhile. Great story about Trevor Smith's family adventure to get to Nassau on New years eve on less than a days notice. They should be in the penthouse. He played well and was noticable many times. He had a great chance on the 2 on 1. Hope he sticks for at least a couple of games. (but that would mean Hunter would be out. Could always sit Mr. KeepittotheOutside for a game or 2). Anyway, a great way to spend the day. Happy New Year to all at NYIC. Stay safe and smart. |
