Would be nice to make some noise around the League and get SJ first upset at home. :isles:

And it wouldnt surprise me. Didnt we do that to Detroit not too long ago? Massive underdog, on the road, surprises everyone.

Maybe SJ will be looking past us thinking it'll be a cakewalk.

I would have to think MacDonald will be in goal tonight.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

I remember the Isles being the team that snapped the Rags 23 home game win streak back in '94. Would be excellent to get a win tonight. Won't hurt our chances at Tavares either.

I bet we get blown out of the water, though.

Win tonight will boost confidence and bring some good emotions in a lockeroom. That’s how good teams develop :isles:

I remember that game, one of the best games I saw when I first became an Islander fan.

Todd McLellan is the Sharks coach? OMG how did I miss that? I remember this guy . . . mostly played for Springfield.

Let me guess, we're going to see Roger Kortko and Todd Okerlund next.

If someone ever made a "Jiggs McDonald Drinking Game," you'd have to take at least one shot for a classic Jiggs phrase we just heard:

"Nothing [to] nothing on the scoreboard."

Doug Weight is one class act. And it's nice to see Setoguchi whistled for a cheap shot, because he got a free one in on Streit before Streit got his arm up on Ehrhoff.

Gotta hope Weight is not injured. Easy to hurt your hand mashing it into your opponent's thick skull.

How the hell does this franchise give #77 to Trevor Smith? In the old days, the equipment manager would laugh if a minor league callup asked for a number over 40.

We don't have any players wearing #17 right now. That's the classic "rental tuxedo number" on the Island, the number you give to temp players (and Shawn Bates). Handing out #77, that's odd.
