Good game and good effort tonight.

Bailey: I saw a lot of good passes and he showed some poise with the puck again. Good to see.

Okposo: Played well tonight and got into position to score. Problem was, most of his shots were blocked. Credit to Rangers D there.

Nielsen: I'm just glad to see he can still skate and still has speed. He definitely showed some rust, but as much was to be expected.

Gervais: Caught out of position a bunch of times tonight. Damn do we need to upgrade our defense.

Tambellini: Showed some poise(finally) with the puck, but I'd still like to see at least 2-3 shots on goal from him - EVERY game. This has been the big issue with Jeff and will lead to his downfall on the island. But i've noticed that his effort, poise, and even positioning have improved.

Thompson: This guy is making a strong case for himself to be our #4 center next year. Nate is always solid defensively and has shown he isn't afrad to charge the net. Nice first game back.

Bergenheim: Good effort out there. This is a guy we is excellent in the corners but he rarely finds himself in position to score. But, I'm also suspicious that he is playing with an injury. He seems to have slowed down since earlier in the season. But from what I see, I don't think effort is an issue.

gervais :dontknow:

macD...oh, the groins.

good effort...though, it just seemed like both teams didn't really put much energy into game. It was a nice gentle game.

Just got back..Way too many Ranger fans there. It sounded like MSG. We played great for about 30 mins. It looked like they just stopped skating in the 2nd and the Rangers just about outdid us in every possible way in the 2nd.

It got ugly in the stands during the 3rd, there was huge fight in I think was 331 or maybe even 330. A group of Ranger fans were sitting in one of the boxes starting some trouble with Islander fans and then it looked like a group of Islander fans came running down from the top of 330 and went after them. Then there were 2 other fights.

SMG Security assaulted a young fan in 329. He was pushed punched and thrown down the stairs leading to the concourse. SMG Security has gotten out of control. And they need to be reigned in on before someone is seriously hurt. Something has to be done.

Btw: Ranger fans are classless douchebags.

The last Rags game I went to I saw a security guard punch an Isles fan that they were taking out after a conflict. I think they were bringing out the wrong guy anyway, but that's my opinion.

I think venue security guards in general (Concerts, Sporting Events, etc.) have a stick up their ass, and act like tough guys because they know no one can touch them.

Cripes!!!

It's beginning to sound like I should skip any plans to come out there for a NY/NY game.

Some day I like to see one live at NMC/Lighthouse. Maybe I'll follow the Wild out there instead.

Westfall18, sorry to hear that.

The good thing about last night was seeing how well Okposo played in the first.
Streit played well and Gordon stuck to his guns giving the kids some powerplay time.

Bad news? Besides the obvious...if you have Newsday, open the sports section to the spread
featuring mr. pylon, Brendan Witt once again trying to play goalie by standing still and trying to block a shot.
Please trade "the warrior". Please. Campoli, Gervais and Meyer may make mistakes but they keep their feet moving. On a better team with more responsible forwards who don't miss assignments, these guys will be better. Witt will always be a liability. Trade him while he has value to someone as a 5th or 6th "warrior" defenseman, he's setting a bad example.

Not a bad effort, and we are one game closer to getting Tavares.

That's the plan, don't give up, put on a bit of a show, but definitely concentrate on getting the first overall pick.

I love it.

Here is Gordon's between periods speech:

Okay, guys, good effort. Now, I don't want anybody withinn ten feet of that rectangular red thing with the twine on it. Or the round black thing may go in it. And we certainly don't want that to happen. Now, I asked you all to do this before the game and I need you to do it again now. Cut another 2" off that crooked stick thingie you all carry on the ice with you. And the equipment guy is gonna walk around and dull the blades on those booty looking things you wear on your feet.

Huh? I know, I know it's gonna make playing the game we play tough, although I forget the name. Hooky? Close enough.

Anyway, Garth told me I had to do all these things so we end up with some guy named Hot Tamale. Or was is Tomorrow? I remember, it's TAVARES.

Now go lose with some pride.

I love it.
