Pretty boring game as a whole, IMO.

Ranger Islander games are NEVER boring. :nono:

:ragssuck:

Let me specify myself.

Compared to Rangers-Thrashers, it was exciting.

Compared to past exciting Rangers-Isles games, it was boring as a whole.

I agree with you...this game was pretty much over by the 2nd period. There was no way the Isles were 2 goals in the 3rd to come back and just a side note, I wasn't really all that impressed with the Rangers, I don't see how they're in 1st place in the Atlantic

1) Games at hand.

2) Lunqvist being terrific in shootouts.

I love the fact that Ranger fans love to throw in our faces that they won the game yet, they BARELY held off the worst team in the entire NHL. And please don't give me that "The Isles get pumped for the Rangers" BS. Should it really matter? If your the best team in the league/division/Conference, shouldn't you be lighting up the last place team??

We definitely exposed those fools for what they really are. Yeah they might beat the Devils and a few of the lower level playoff teams, but they aren't beating the Flyers, Capitals and the Canadiens in the playoffs. Here's to another letdown year Ranger fans. Bill Guerin has more points than your three highest paid players!

That's so true. If they were as good as they should've won that game by at least 3 goals. And it is true it seems the Rags only beat the lesser teams in the league and then try to play for OT against everyone else and hopefully win in OT or Shootout.

As far as the "rubbing it in your faces", I think it does have to do with the fact that each team is the others' biggest rival. Trust me, I've taken a lot of shyt from my many Islander fan friends over the years.

Of course if I'm just thinking with my head, I'd realize the Isles are really struggling and we should beat that team. However, I've watched way too many Rangers-Isles games over the years to not realize that most of the time they are tight, hard fought out games, no matter which team is where in the standings at that time.

As far as thinking the Rangers are what they are not, I don't know what Rangers fans you speak with, but pretty much all my Rangers fans friends, and myself included, believe they are a 5-8 spot team, not a 1-4 spot.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
