rifle, I think there is PLENTY of blame to go around. And in life when things don't go your way. It's not best to always look for a scapegoat. I despise Wang, you guys know that, but I do not even blame him for all this. I could blame Snow for NOT doing what the Kings did and instead allowing these rumors to continue festering. But I won't. Kings cut up ANY possible chance of conjecture with that stance this weekend. Not our camp, they allowed peoples emotions to run wild and those easily manipulated by fantasy world conjecture were ready to spend their lottery winnings before buying a ticket. Good grief, has ANYONE forgotten how they handled the Guerin fiasco? The DP secrecy with the injuries? can list so many and while there are very good arguments to the contrary on EACH, after a while, doesn't even the most staunch supporter of this regime begin to say enough??? Do the math, look at the history under this owner. Why trust anything? No Islander fan should point at any one source this week. Look in the mirror and ask yourselves, shouldn't I have known better? Weren't the warning signs there? Isn't everything form a marketing perspective with this team based on "PROJECT HOPE"? Excuse me now, because I really need to respond to another thread and clear something up. |

I don't know if we'll ever really know what happened. Did the whole thing spiral out of control because of a simple phone call? Did Bottta, Strang etc. create the hype on purpose? Who knows. And at this point, who cares. He's goin' elsewhere like they all do. Probably for less, like most of 'em do. Oh, well, another day on the island of hope. Or doom. |

rifle, take a look at what the Kings GM did this weekend. he chose to stop and further conjecture. Our camp chose not to, but I still do not blame them for it. Cannot point to Botta, Strang or anyone else who jumped on the bandwagon either. Maybe more fans will learn from this. Maybe not. Hey, there's a great soccer match today between the Netherlands and Uruguay. Winner advances to play Spain/Germany winner for World Cup. I cannot wait for that. The drama with our Isles will continue and we'll continue rooting for them until hopefully things change for the better as I don't believe they can under this regime. |

Why would Snow have squelched the rumors of us in on Kovy. Though us fans got strung out a bit, the Isles got alot of publicity, maybe some cred and it may very well help us in the future in getting a top guy if they knew we were in play for Kovy. There could some benefit for the hockey world to have thought we were in on this. Though I do hope Snow does come out tell us what really went down when it is over. I could be wrong cause I worked all last 4 days all day and was not entirely in the loop as to what was going on. |

Question I have is what now? We still have to spend to reach the friggin' FLOOR of the cap. That's like finding a $1,000 gift card to Sports Authority that expires by Friday. You HAVE to spend it. So, how exactly do we do that? |

Perhaps Wang will petition his cause to Bettman, asking the Islanders have a special cap?

Never happen. Because he's send Snow in to do it for him and take the credit just like last time (8th seed for the welfare state?) as if we wouldn't think it was Sumo-goalie himself.

The crying kid's in the Atlantic? ![]() The GOOD thing is he's on the Debbies and has not been flourishing with a tight D system. The bad is.....he's not on the Kings far away from our schedule. |

So does Frolov stay a King? It appears Lombardi has more than enough to keep him since he lost out on Kovy. And my guess is he has to do something now that the big fish is (reportedly) staying in the swamp (which is now really "the hood"). Looks like the dregs for us once again. Somebody tell me why he'd sign with us... |
