It took me a while to come up with that shortlist of suckmore players. Who were the players that were so bad or inflicted truckloads of pain on the team and fans? I can't speak of the glory days. I only remember the good guys. |

Oleg only sucked because we expected so much more from him, but he did lead us in scoring one year. Niinnimma should be on there, and what about Jeff Tambellini, has anyone frustrated so many for so long? |

Put the Cup Back in Our Lobby Where It Belongs
|
C'mon, Webby, it's time to let go of the hate. How one answers the "Mount Rushmore" question depends on what you think the question means. As for myself, I'll take it to mean who best embodies the Isles at their best. I think our franchise, at its best, is defined by developing talent from within, a focus on defense, opportunistic scoring, character, and doing things the hardest way possible, usually in OT. So I'll go with... Oh, man, forget it, it's impossible to pick just four guys. So I'll pick this---our four Cups, with the Core of Four inscribed on each. Including our GM, coach, and the scouts who helped assemble the team. And us. |

Dr, I've let go, but like it or not he's part of Islander history now. Not signing Tambellini was the best move that Garth didn't make this offseason. But the question was Mt. Suckmore, and he was one that I'd put up there before Kvasha. As far a Mt. Puckmore. You are right, the four cups belong up there, or the 4 conn smythe winners, or the 6 retired #s. I don't think you can limit it to 4. |

To include Tavares in that pic is an insult to those legendary players. He hasn't done squat yet except have about half a good year and half a terrible year. He has a long, long, long way to go before he can be included with any of those players. Let him at least have one good consistent year. |

What pic? My signature? That's been there since 3 months before we drafted him. It's not a commentary on how he performed. |
