actually it wouldnt be slowed down by the slowpokes of hempstead.. b/c they have no say in it.. its a strict county only decision, and hempstead has no call over "Indian land".. if the state/county grants them the land, hempstead cant say anything about it.. they could build a friggen pyramid with a middle finger at the top and hempstead coudlnt do spit about it.. |

Yet the expansion of sewers, utilities, and roadways outside the parcel and leading to it would all be in the hands of TOH approvals. |

As an all too experienced gamer I stay as far away from racinos as I can. The machines are VLTs which mean video lottery terminals and they are all connected to one central gaming computer, and when you press the button it is computed by that one computer if you are a winner, then if it determines you are a winner it again draws another to see what payout. So regardless of what game you play, which machine you play your odds are exactly the same. Whereas in a casino, each machine has their own processor independent of each other, and each draw is completely random using a randomizer processor. And with casino's you can see when a machine was last checked by the Gaming commission of that state for fairness, just like you see on gas pumps. So if you don't like a certain machine you can move to another, and have completely different outcomes. Plus casino's have table games where, if you know how to play, can reduce house take to as little as 1% on games like blackjack, craps, and baccarat. (slots are usually 95-98% payback).Gaming is alot of fun, even more fun when you know the odds, and know how you can make your money entertain you longer. Longer is always better. And in the short term, anything can happen when it comes to winning. |

The problem with Indian casinos is they are not regulated by a state gaming commission. Table games should be the only games you play at an Indian casino as those games can't be tampered with, but there is no control on what minimums slots and video poker must pay. It's why I only play in AC or Vegas, and when I do go to the reservations for a show or with friends I stick mostly to the tables. |

I don't know if its greed or just a way to get people in the doors but the Indian casinos at least have lower table limits during the days. I've stopped going to AC for the fact its tough to find $5/$10 craps tables. they just added table games to racinos in PA and most tables start at $15 and by 3pm its $25....the worst part is its packed!! Once the novility wears off maybe they will drop some of the table limits but its amazing how people will just play such high limits. I never go to racinos but do like that casinos at the tracks, gives you something else to do when you want a break for playing. They have the sports books in AC/Vegas but its nice to be able to catch a live race as well. |
