I bet they'll charge for parking and there may be some more of these entrance fees, you know for charity.

:D

Same thoughts I had. They will find a way to squeeze you.
I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

BTW: plans for the camp have not been finalized as of yet and don't really look for open practices.

Perhaps something in the idea of the Blue & Orange scrimmage or the intersquad charity events they have done in Moncton before.

Training camp is not really for the fans. It's for the coaching staff to figure out who stays.

Yep.

Either have fans and it is 100% FREE or have no fans allowed and the players don't get distracted.

We seem to have an owner that can get the simple act of breathing wrong.

When will the final training camp roster be announced? Does anybody know?

I am not sure.
But I know the blog box members have a meeting on 9/8.
I don't know if the final roster will be released before then or after.

I think the not going to China sort of threw them for a loop. Lots to arrange to make it work here.

Westfall, you're right.
They are there to make an impression and gain a roster spot. They don't need to be distracted by fans trying to get their attention or watching their every move.

I know if they could keep the media out for this, they would probably like to.

This is where the mistakes will be made. This is where inadequacies will be apparent. It won't help if every move on the ice is documented, dissected and regitated to the fans.

but... we'll see what happens.

I'd rather just have another scrimmage game for charity for the fans to see who MAY make the squad.

No offense, but what the heck is regitated?
:dontknow:

Seriously, here's a thought.
The heck with feelings. They get paid to play in front of people.

How about the ones who can actually hack it, earn a damn spot on the roster...
be there fannies in the seats or not.

We all know how camp is run and always was. Only scrimmages are sometimes open to fans.
But the media should be allowed to watch and comment or at the very least give the fans something.

so if they were going to china, then there wouldn't be any fans watching their camps, right?

what is the difference? whether it be fans from long island and some country far far away watching their every move.

just wondering....

The camp starts on the 17th, right?
I'm just confused because the countdown clock is set to end the 11th. :dontknow:

That was a guess I made two months ago based on past years. I'll get around to making it accurate.

They just had that problem in Buffalo with the Bills training camp. They heckled the QB and got thrown out and everything .
