Is it spring training yet?
Maybe I've been under a rock this summer but were these new box office prices announced prior to today? They are RIDICULOUS!!!!! For $75 dollars I can sit in the 10th row of the 300's behind the net. If I pay $85 I can sit in the 16th row but center ice in the 300's. I've had season tickets and partial seasons for many years but decided to pass this season so I can save some money since I am moving (not out of state but moving none the less). I've been going to the home opener for 17 years straight. I just cannot believe they have the nerve to charge these prices. Are they out of their friggen minds? Make the playoffs, then raise the prices. Holy Moly. Did they have to raise the prices to pay for all of the "high priced" free agents we signed this off-season?

Someone has to pay for Sim's and Hilbert's 2 way contracts. :D Bronzy, my advice is to wait it out and take the promo's that come out during the season when they realize that ticket sales are lagging behind expectations, once again. Or, find a student you can go to games with and use their ID.
I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Bonzy - The single tickets are definitely a bit nutty but they increased STH prices about 9% as well with no real STH benefits.

There customer service for the most part is awful and I think its the franchise that has beaten these rep's down to not caring. If the rep doesn't have any personal pride then its even worse for the account holder. My rep left at the end of the year and all I got was an invoice in April and never heard from the Isles again after 10 years of holding tickets, not 1 call to try and convince me.

So I finally called because its an activity that my dad and I enjoy but we're moving to a partial plan cause it aint worth the aggravation if they don't care enough to put money into the team much less us fans. They have the nerve to hold seats for STH plans instead of selling them to partial plan people 3 weeks before the season starts. they would rather chance getting a STH or selling them individually then give them to someone willing to go with a partial plan.

That god for the Isles that I want to see live hockey with my dad, otherwise I'd be maybe watching from home.

Are these higher than last year??

Bonzy...if ur willing to sweat it out and wait till a week or two before the game u can try ur luck on Craigslist or ebay. I've gotten some good deals from both.

ebay is a little tricky because you have to convince the seller to cancel the auction in favor of doing a cash deal and in-person pick up.

Craigslist is nice because it's usually someone who can't go at the last minute and will take anything for the tickets...just don't trade for them if they are listed in the "casual encounters" section

we too did not renew our season tickets due to the increase. We figured we would see what they offered for partial plans. The weekend and holidays seemed like a good plan . Wrong, that partial package was just a much as our full season tickets plan for last year. So there goes that.

Craigslist is good for last minute plans because the ticketholders just want to get rid of the tickets. So yes you do get a good price.

But for those who do not like craigslist or cant be bothered driving to meet someone go to Stubhub. I know , they charge a commission but i bought 2 homeopener tickets in the first row in the 200's for 60 bucks each. (plus commission and fedex came to 150) . Went to ticketmaster for same area and they wanted with their fees over 200 bucks for 2 tickets. I have to say i did notice that most tickets on stubhub were a lot less than the price on ticketmaster. I have used stubhub in the past and never had a problem. Plus they have a guarentee the tickets are real and if there are any problems you get your money back.

Can't wait, airing out my signed jersey now, Let's Go Islanders.

No, they had to raise the prices to build the new CUPCAKE booth! :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

try Stub-hub. I usually get my tickets there or Craigslist.

I am just glad that I got to be a fan and go to many, many games in the 80s and 90s. I used to do about 15 games a year. I haven't been in the building now since the first season after the lockout and don't plan on it any time soon. For those prices I'd rather sit on my couch with my 40 inch wide screen HDTV and get a beer, soda, or hot dog without feeling like I was just violated. And don't forget the parking fee!!!! I have grown tired of these crooks a long time ago!!!

yes, stubhub is a good place to get tickets for 10 bucks. They will be available. Buy them for 10 bucks and then move down. Worth it.

How in gods name can an organization raise single game tickets 20% when they spend to the cap floor? Especially when 4.7 million of that cap is to a player not even playing???

But yes we are expected to see the BRIGHT side that affordable prices ARE available if we purchase a plan.

But excuse me while I turn the sarcasm on...

Folks, don't worry, the prices will come down when and if that evil empire holding up a no brainer project like the Lighthouse and gives us a brand new state of the art arena.

Sarcasm off.

yeah, don't hold your breaths. Have a cupcake and drink some koolaid.

Look, all I care about right now as I watch our rookies play the baby B's is that anyone who works in NYC gets home safe. crazy storm out there. I left early and made it home before the LIRR shut down service.

We are the Loyal Fan Base.
It's just plain sad..the Islanders want 615.50 a month from me and JBlake55..so divide that in half..plus tolls, plus 2.71 a gallon for gas, plus 7.00 for parking..The Islanders really do know how to test our loyalty..

I'd gladly pay all of this and than some if the Islanders had brought in Kovalchuck

Just as an added note $7 parking will only be Lot 8 over by Earle Ovington Blvd, rest of the lots will be $10 and of course the ever popular VIP $25 by the buses.

Because Wang doesn't want to seem like he's greedy or milking the fanbase for his top Rahmen quality product with Chateau Briande prices.
