I guess the goalies will play full game. I assume Poulin full game tomorrow? DeHann got burnt pretty bad. Ohh well. El Nino and the 18 yr old walk on Thug have been entertaining. |

Scott Gordon is in mid season form with his coaching. oofah. Please don't renew this trash. sloppy game. Nice to see Nino not back down from that fight. Calvin de Haan reminds me of a smooth skating young version of Wade Redden (earlier in his career when he was good). Kid makes the smart safe play each time. Koskinen, kind of slow on some rebounds. Hamonic looked good and I like how he gets in guys faces. No big deal, honestly losing this one. Lot's of guys trying to make finesse lays at the blue line instead of getting puck in deep. You'd think a coach would get through to them so you don't see it so many times in the 3rd period? Especially on that empty net goal. I wish we could have heard Kinger calling this one. |

Don't remind me....Chris King replaced by Butch and Sundense. Gorton angry the kids aren't buying into his system. In a few weeks, Rick will be keeping the bench from hitting the scoreboard. Islanders hockey. Hope Nino and others impress, but no matter what, the team is still owned by a schmuck, run by a backup goalie and coached by a runt. Thank God we had Tavares and Moulson out there. It's all that keeps this team from looking like the '99 team. BTW, did DeHaan really suck? |

Guys...Gordo wasn't even on the bench, he was in the skybox with Wanger and Garth. Capuano was on the bench. DeHaan didn't suck, but did hesitate, clearly rust. He's coming off a serious injury. |

damn, 1st game of Islanders hockey (with only rookies & not even considered preseason) and we're already calling for Gordon's head and managing to rip apart Wang for being there. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play? :ph43r: |

No OTH, de Haan did not suck. He looked good with the puck that's why I compared his poise and decision making to Redden's back in Redden's earlier career. In the battles he was not as quick but I didn't focus nor care about that because as mentioned above by Vinny, the kid is coming back from an injury. The good signs you want to see are the decisions with the puck and he moved it well. The rest will come, he's a smart kid. Lastly...Scott Gordon's "system", Capuano, shmapuano, the "system" sucks.

Just checked out the "highlights" that ITV is offering, they must have been cut by the Boston people cause its slanted that way for sure. Watched the 1st and the the last half of the 3rd. Lots of rookie type mistakes but definitely some good stuff thrown in there but its was great to see some Isles hockey...even if it was single A style. |

you're just a breath of fresh air, as usual  But like everyone else. I'm outraged that our rookie prospects, with a bunch of other guys that may not even make B-port, didn't execute well after a few practices in a scrimmage game. I mean, this doesn't bode well for the pre-season record. |

Yes, I know the bruins nitwit said Gordon was on the bench. He wasn't. Ask Katie or Botta who were there. Jack Cap was on the bench and Gordo was observing from the box. Trust me. Wanna bet tix to the home opener? |
