We're in good hands, people. Good hands if we were looking at a remake of the Three Stooges meet Frankenstein.

It was Abbot & Costello who met Frankenstein. I know, Garth can dress up for Halloween!. Obviously Mr Wang needs to practice his "Hey Abbott"'s in the meantime.

Hmm, this could go in a very interesting direction - classic tv comedy as a metaphor for the state of NYI.

Garth as Abbott = pretty straightforward
But who's Costello? You could make the case for Charles Wang or Scott Gordon.

The point in the presser where Gordon wouldn't answer the question because "he told me not to" was comedy gold.... Let me get this straight - Garth & Scott (& probably Charles) must have gotten together to discuss the event, cover expected topics & instead of using the opportunity to say something like -- we think he's a special player, it's in his hands to make the team, we really want to focus on where he's at and not make any prejudgment in either direction, etc. -- the best they could come up with was: Don't say anything....

Wish he would have said...

Who's on first?

Next assignment (moving into a more contemporary comedy period for most of the blog readers here) -- re-dub the press conference using the voices of Barney Rubble, Fred Flintstone and the Great Gazoo

Can't do anything about the refs but they fixed the ice presumably to help keep Rick's swelling down. Thanks. Try the veal.
"clearly it's Rick DiPietro's stupidity that's put the islanders in this situation getting into an altercation when a game was over..." Keith Jones on VS

"But the Coliseum became a repository for all the team's troubles, a convenient scapegoat. There were suggestions that no major free agent ever would set foot in such a decrepit place. We have two words for anyone making that argument: Fenway Park. History says free agents would play in an old boxcar if they got enough money and had a chance to win." - Mark Herrmann

Not to switch gears but, anyone hear anything about the referees next NHL contract?

I think theirs ran out. Haven't anything about a zebra strike. Anyone got anything?

It won't matter whether there are refs are not. The Islanders stacked their lineup with protectors. We're all set.

I dream of real veal rolled with Prosciutto and Swiss and sauteed with.....Kalifornia sucks. Don't go there unless you lose a bet. Or want a taco without the threat of kidnapping.
