I need more info on Streit. Last night Goring was saying it could be pretty serious, but wasn't saying if he'd miss opening night, or giving any hint as to how long he'd be out.

I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Goring doesn't know. The only people who know are Streit, the team doctor, and the MRI facility he went to.

Well, IPB said initially
CB

"best case - 2 weeks. Worst - hope for no more than 6."

So best case scenario says he'll be ready opening night. And I've read Moulson isn't the one to blame, only bad luck as it was a pretty mild hit.

Moulson wasn't to blame at all. Streit was chasing the puck into the corner and fell awkwardly. Moulson barely touched him at all. It was a very freak injury.

Trotts not sure if you can get ITV but if you can then you can watch the whole scrimmage. It happened about 2h 12min in...there was less then 5min left and the "White" team was on the PP.

Hopefully they announce something today since the rumor rill has already started from people that "know" Streits family....the rumors aren't good.

Yes, I couldn't watch it live because it didn't allow me, due to living in the wrong area. But now I can watch the replay, thanks for the tip. I'll watch the incident.

Some bad news from Chris Botta...

Quote:

Source tells Point Blank damage to Mark Streit's shoulder is "significant." He'll be out longer than a month.    4 minutes ago  via Twitter for BlackBerry®

I watched the replay of the mild contact, Streit had the left side of his body facing the boards and as he was about to fall, his left arm braced the top of the boards. Could be a dislocation is my guess. 4-6 weeks?

Interesting how Botta makes an announcement without making an announcement while Katie Strang makes no real announcement on Streit injury, instead saying announcement from team will be tomorrow.

I watched back some of the game and while I praised DP for looking relaxed and keeping things simple...he dd come out at one point on a clear and dove parallel to goal line almost slamming in the far boards where the Isles take the ice JUST so he can play the puck and get it back up to the defensemen on the powerplay. I watched that play again and there was no reason for it. Did not save any time and the flow of the game would have better served for HIS side had he let it wind around the net and just deaden the puck behind his net for 1st dman back.

Guess he's really feeling good but if he winds up being his own worst enemy, then I guess he hasn't matured as he and the team have tried to make it seem. Less of that stuff please.

This is bad. Bruno instead of Streit...
My starting 6 D's without Streit would probably be,
Wiz
Hillen
Andy Mac
Martinek
Eaton
Jurcina

7th?
Hamonic!

Is it spring training yet?
Just read on Strangs twitter...According to sources Streit out for 6 months. Why couldn't Moulson have pushed Gervais instead?

Watched the game and it's amazing how many errors were made announcing the assists on the goals.
1-0 - The first was clearly from Streit and Wiz, not Tavares.
2-0 - To find an assist at all on the second goal is unbelievable.
2-1 - Rakhshani should have an assist as well on the third.
3-1 - Niederreiter? What? Was he even on the ice? The goal was assisted by Bailey and Eaton.
4-3 - No assist on Ullström? Come on, I'm not being too blue'n'yellow here.
4-4 - Ullström winning the face off to Martinek finding Hunter.

Maybe they have corrected the assists afterwards but I haven't read it anywhere.

No way deHaan or Hamonic make the team as a 7th dman. They will either make it in the top 6 or they will head back to jrs.
I miss these :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: and want more of them

I guess you're right. Replace Hamonic with Jurcina then.
