From my new :blah:g site Islanders Top Shelf

0 – Games played vs. other NHL teams to date.

1 – Free agent signing since camp opened (D Mike Mottau, 2 yrs); Russians unable to come to America (Petrov)

2 – Assistant captains lost to shoulder injuries; Days tardy for Kirill Kabanov

3 – Separate injuries to Mark Streit’s Shoulder (torn labrum, torn rotator cuff, separated shoulder).

4 – Players that have gained 15 or more pounds since last season; Matt Martin (192-210) +18 lbs, Mikko Koskinen (187-202) +15 lbs, Andrew MacDonald (186-201) +15 lbs, Frans Nielsen (172-187) +15 lbs. source

5 – Critical Islanders coming back from big injuries: Martinek (knee), Weight (shoulder), Schremp (knee), Tavares (broken foot), DiPietro (knee, hip)

6 – Late invites to camp; months (estimate) before Streit can come back.

7 – Goalies in camp (DiPietro, Koskinen, Lawson, Poulin, Roloson, Legace and Martin)

8 – Defensemen on one way contracts at the start of camp.

9 – Defensemen with one way contracts now.

10 – Games Niederreiter needs to play to begin his entry level contract.

This was one of those ill conceived pieces that started off on fire then got time consuming while looking for certain blasted numbers. I dare you to get 11 and 12

11: Andy Hilbert's #11 is back in fashion!
12: Months left until next training camp/groin season starts.

(good timing 25!)
"clearly it's Rick DiPietro's stupidity that's put the islanders in this situation getting into an altercation when a game was over..." Keith Jones on VS

"But the Coliseum became a repository for all the team's troubles, a convenient scapegoat. There were suggestions that no major free agent ever would set foot in such a decrepit place. We have two words for anyone making that argument: Fenway Park. History says free agents would play in an old boxcar if they got enough money and had a chance to win." - Mark Herrmann

John, my mistake, if it's 0-10, then you only need 1 more.
Unless you scrap the 0 and use 1-12 for the purposes of the jingle.
And not ill conceived at all, I love it. Very witty.

let's see, 1 more...

11 players on current roster on NYI.COM who have 2 syllable last names
Bailey, Comeau, Gillies, Hunter, Martin, Moulson, Nielsen, Eaton, Gervias, Hillen and Mottau!

....and a lifetime contract for DP.

:dontknow: :bag:

11 - average bathroom wait time (min) between periods
12 - number of defensemen that suited up for the Islanders last season
I sold it all, retired and moved to Fabulous Las Vegas!

Ill conceived because it took me too long to do it. Some numbers were very easy while others took a while...
