Please check out the original page that has the Facebook page I created. I'm hoping enough people like it to cause him to change. Really. The Billy Harris Hex A letter for PA Parenteau: Dear Pierre-Alexandre, Welcome to Long Island. As you know, the team has been rebuilding for several <del datetime="2010-10-11T02:04:00+00:00">decades</del> years. As such, you've been afforded the opportunity to make a name for yourself here and prove yourself in the NHL. I personally want to see you do well on the Island so, I'm formally requesting that you change your number. Here is why: The number 15 is jinxed on Long Island. You may or may not be superstitious, but the facts prove that since Billy Harris was sent to LA in the infamous Butch Goring trade, the players wearing the number 15 for the New York Islanders haven't, to put it politely, lived up to their potential. Have a look for yourself. Some showed more promise than others, but ultimately they've all been affected by the Billy Harris hex. The other #15's in Isles history were: Tom Chorske Brad Dalgarno Ted Donato Billy Harris Brad Isbister Jeff Tambellini It's possible the curse emanates from Harris himself, an original Islander that was traded just in time to miss their dynasty run. Not only was he an original Islander, he was THE original, drafted first overall by the expansion Islanders in their inaugural draft. If anyone should bear an axe to grind against the team, it would be him. Granted, Goring was instrumental to the club's success but Harris has every reason to feel shortchanged. Please do yourself and your career a favor and change your number immediately. Best regards, John |

"clearly it's Rick DiPietro's stupidity that's put the islanders in this situation getting into an altercation when a game was over..." Keith Jones on VS "But the Coliseum became a repository for all the team's troubles, a convenient scapegoat. There were suggestions that no major free agent ever would set foot in such a decrepit place. We have two words for anyone making that argument: Fenway Park. History says free agents would play in an old boxcar if they got enough money and had a chance to win." - Mark Herrmann 查理斯 · 請死你混蛋 | |
