Geographically speaking, I would have to give this deal a C- because a large chunk of the listening audience on Long Island is outside their broadcast radius. Futile attempt to listen to the beginning of the game on my way home (mid Suffolk) --

Getting Nothing But Static.

aaahh didn't think about that part of it....I usually listen online or on the way from NVMC to the train station which I couldn't do before with the old stations.

Last night, I get off the train on Ronkonkoma, get in the car, go right to 88.7fm and get zilch.
Guess everyone in Suffolk County is SOL.

Ad, no, the solution isn't for everyone to realize they have options like XM radio.
We want our own play-by-play and color commentary announcers and to be able to have the convenience to turn it on in eastern NJ, NYC, Nassau, Suffolk and parts of Westchester and CT
just like the other local teams. Let's not dumb down our expectations because of the "victim-Wang" rhetoric.

This is absolute bullcrap.

You know what he needs to get a good radio station?

A Lighthouse.....

Toolbag. No more plane travel, we're in a great arrangement with Uniondale HS using their drivers ed students! The kids will be driving a two steeringwheeled bus to games accross North America and it will be an invaluable experience as players get to help shape young lives and students learn valuable lessons in safe driving! Wang is a genius!

"clearly it's Rick DiPietro's stupidity that's put the islanders in this situation getting into an altercation when a game was over..." Keith Jones on VS

"But the Coliseum became a repository for all the team's troubles, a convenient scapegoat. There were suggestions that no major free agent ever would set foot in such a decrepit place. We have two words for anyone making that argument: Fenway Park. History says free agents would play in an old boxcar if they got enough money and had a chance to win." - Mark Herrmann
