Have you listened to the radio broadcast? There's nothing wrong with it and actually it's better than the TV Simulacast and the signal comes in loud and clear in nassau and all the way to Bay Shore out east. We also get back Chris King's play by play as well as intermission features.
& I hear they are having serious attendance woes in Tampa as well --
All the way out to Bay Shore? That's less than 20 miles away, not good for a radio station. Kinger is obviously a great radio play-by-play guy, but I was also impressed with the rest of the coverage.
20 miles is all they are rated for. everyone complained they couldn't hear the game in the parking lot. now you can. you just can't hear it any further than 20 miles.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole idea about radio is to stay in touch with your team no matter where you are? You listen when you are working in the garage, or on the road, or stuck in traffic, or in church (ok the Isles aren't on during that time). Not just when you are leaving the coliseum. It's suppose to be that lifeline to the game when you cant be there or watch on TV, to keep that connection with the fan and it should reach as far as you can.
20 miles is an utter failure for a professional sports team to be providing to their listening fan.

I like the idea of a restaurant serving food you can't reach because the genius put 1' tall chairs next to the 10' tall tables. It leaves people wanting for more.
Hey, our beat reporter Lois Lame is on a news service you can't read unless you pay for it. (though the twit twitters) Maybe every team will make theirs inaccessible to the fanbase? Wang is revolutionary, after all.

When I tried listening I only heard static in stereo. 17 miles west of NVMC. There's a whole big world west of Nassau and if NYI is going to ignore them then they'll ignore NYI...as attendance shows.
When did Tampa have the population that the NY metro area or LI has?

Well, next up, NYI telecasta will be 1/9th of the screen with eight ad revenue producing boxes surrounding it. THAT would be awesome....he could make money and save the team.

Dripping with sarcasm.......good 1 Jeff!
They've got 1 beat reporter that you have to pay to read and are on a college radio station where games can't be heard 17 miles west of the arena they play in. It's like they don't want people to follow them. And they wonder why NYI fans don't show and why other team's fans take over NVMC and why they have to place ads like the NO HABS NO one.

It's a BUSH league deal because that's all they can get with this owner. PERIOD.
It's a professional team and we, the fans expect better. Are we supposed to do cartwheels because we can get a wee little reception out in Bayshore? What about the fans further east and north who used to get reception?
I love Chris King and you won't get any complaints about him from me. My wifey graduated East Islip HS with him. He's a talented, great guy and deserves better in this industry. But while some fans who couldn't get the radio reception before now can, a majority of fans who could, now cannot.
I remember you making suggesting last time with the previous deal that we "could always go out and get XM radio."
Dee, you are loyal and you will go far because that's what they want vs objectivity (see Jaffe). Good luck. But when it comes to the majority of fans, they are pissed off and feel pissed on. Not expecting you to change your mind and agree with many of us either.

You serve good food, people come and pay good money to eat. You make a good car, people spend a third to half a mortgage payment every month to drive it.
You set up two walkie talkies and a coat hanger and call it your radio coverage.....the Coliseum needs subtitles during Habs games.
