Look at the quality of forwards Tavares has played with in his short career here and then look at the other young stars. In all cases, like Stamkos, they play with proven NHL stars.

Tavares deserves to be there. When they asked him about being shunned last night he said "it would have been an honor to make it, but if I don't I'll take the 3 days off".

He didn't seem to mind much, but it would have been great to see him around the better players in the league and see how he matched up.

No biggie, I don't think its a reflection on what other players think or a bonus clause or anything like that.

Tavares is the only qualifier and with his numbers, barely so. So, yes, I think he deserves to be there, more from every team should be represented than "he got screwed".

It is a huge disappointment to not make it for a guy like Tavares, who has played at high levels wherever he's been, save for the last year +. He appears to be coming around though, and if he starts scoring from the perimeter (and Comeau too) we are gonna see some wicked goals in the future. I like the Tavares of the past several weeks. If he doesn't disappear for several more weeks then things will be even better.

Tavares did not make the All Star Game because he's not playing like
an All Star.

Tavares is not an all star yet!!! Would he be one if he were playing with better players??? Probably, but blame Snow for that not the league. It's not up to the league to assume he would be better around better talent.

NO one said the league should assume this. It's a fact though that Tavares has been poorly supported by Snow and the coaching staff. I don't blame the league. I blame El Cheapo and Snowball.
