Write Kate Murray and offer her support to say no LHP for Charles Wang (but we're open to another owner doing it.

Write Newsday, NYPost, Daily News, NY Times.....and blast Walter O'Cholly and his attempts to erase the storied team from existence.

Call EVERY NHL show live and tell the screener you want to talk about whatever they have on and when on flood it with "Get Cholly Out Of the NHL" or whatever (kinda like the Howard Stern prank calls).

Bring signs to games (away games would be awesome).

(non Isles games would be better)

(Mets/Yanks games would be even better)

put up leaflets bashing WONG.

Dedicate songs on the radio to Wang if he sells the team.....or to the mutants in Deliverance if they find Charlie and go "family style" on him.

Lotsa stuff.....just make it public and obnoxious.

But Ideally, 16,000 people yelling "sell the team" all game every game would be the best. Too bad there are still stiffs who think this guy is a biblical figure.
"clearly it's Rick DiPietro's stupidity that's put the islanders in this situation getting into an altercation when a game was over..." Keith Jones on VS

"But the Coliseum became a repository for all the team's troubles, a convenient scapegoat. There were suggestions that no major free agent ever would set foot in such a decrepit place. We have two words for anyone making that argument: Fenway Park. History says free agents would play in an old boxcar if they got enough money and had a chance to win." - Mark Herrmann

I just read something posted on Botta's blog by someone that made me puke.
We have some fans who will try and convince themselves that every move is good.

Big defenseman, 4 years since being drafted he still hasn't learned how to use his size
to compete. I guess these fans believe THIS Islanders player development team is going to teach him that part of the game?

Have a great night everyone.

They think so highly of him that he's been shipped to Bridgeport. LOL. What a joke.

come on, he needs to learn "the system" first.

I WISH I COULD SAY I'M SHOCKED,PISSED AND NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE BUT I'M NOT.
WHEN I SAW THE THREAD FIRST FEAR WAS OH GOD THOMPSON OR BERGIE HAVE RETURNED BUT THAT WOULD HAVE BROUGHT BACK A SEMI-QUALIFIED PLAYER.
NOPE NOT US OUR EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR WAS ABLE TO STEAL ANOTHER BRIDGEPORT BUILDING BLOCK.
GUESS ANOTHER CALL IN SHOW IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

THANKS TO ROLSON FOR HAVING A BLACKOUT MOMENT AND SIGNING HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.ENJOY WHILE YOU RE-ACQUAINT YOURSELF TO A PROFESSIONAL FRANCHISE STOCKED WITH NHL TALENT.
NOW YOU WONT HEAR THE MRS. SCREAMING "I WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED FOOD STAMPS INSTEAD OF WATCHING YOU FLUSH YOUR LAST CONTRACT DOWN THE TOILET"

NOW TO SIT BACK AND WATCH THE PUPPET SOCIETY
SPIN THEIR MAGIC AND TELL US IT WAS A GOOD MOVE

 Tom.

We brought in Mathieu Biron 2.0 and on facebook and Botta's blog there's a handful
of clueless hockey fans thinking Garth Snow really is doing a good job.

TP just came off a maintenance day and IR and we now have him and a kid with 1 NHL game under his belt.

Message was sent a long time ago but they keep coming ...

save money it's a New Years Tankathon.

Well there goes another of the few reasons why I even tune into a telecast. Is the log jam so great at the Bridge we needed to move Roli? Like Tom said at least we got to watch one nhl talent for a while on this team. Garth could've waited until March and let us watch him a little longer.

The management of this team makes me sick.

I don't like this at all. The one guy who kept us alive in games (like the one i Detroit) is dumped and in return we get just another AHL-player.

The only way this might end up being good is if they bring up Kevin Poulin to have a few games of experience and then give him the job as #1 at the beginning of the next season.

I really hate to see Roloson go but at 41 years of age who knows if he'll even come back next year. He might be on of those "they're gonna have to tear the uniform of me" type of player and just keep going.

as far as Wishart goes should be up here soon. the Isles are adding depth/players, a kid who now becomes the 2nd leading scorer at Bridge-wow!

the only 2 pending free agents we should be concerned with is Moulson and Jurcina that's it. if the Islanders make a huge effort to keep the 2 then I have no complaints if they deal the 2 for next to nothing then.....

let's see if Snow can deal Martinek is probably only worth a pick

i think Wishart is an interesting pick up let's see how he does first before we want to go crazy

AHL Callup
Everyone complains when we don't get prospects back from trades cause no one wants picks. Everyone complains when players are "rushed" to the nhl. We finally get a high end prospect with size who wasn't rushed and what happens? Roli is 41 and would not have returned to the island because he would want one last shot to win. Be careful what you wish for, the isles sold high in my opinion.....this sounds better than a second round pick anyway...
Quote:

Heading into the 2006 NHL Entry Draft most teams projected Wishart as a number three defenseman in the NHL capable of logging over 20 minutes a night. Since then, Wishart has shown marked improvement in his offensive game while still showing himself to be incredibly solid and reliable in his own end of the ice. That's why we project him as a potential top-pair shut-down defenseman who not only will match up against opposing team's best forwards, but also might be capable of putting up 30-40 points a season from the backline as well.

The islanders would probably have gotten a 2nd rounder for him at the deadline, I would rather this prospect than a coin flip between Hamonic and Ness because that is essentially what the second round is.

Another big body that does nothing with it, traded a few times already and already banished to the AHL. Keep chugging that Kool Aid, this is why Wang can get away with running this circus, because there are still fans who support this. You CAN fool some of the People ALL of the time apparently. One more potential guy, always with less than 50 games of NHL experience. Another shrewd Garth move. Rollie is 41, blah blah blah.
This is going to lead to the next DP breakdown. Bridgeport's 3 goalie logjam will be replaced with a callup, because their top two goalies will be here before February 15th.
Maybe we should hire Potvin to coach the kid. Or, we can trade him for a draft pick next year.

rick was only on the IR for a few games, because of a muscle or something,,I don't know I lost track of all the injuries..or crap..and he was playing good before that..that game against pittsburgh proved that garth could make this trade..and we got a prospect back..big deal, that he was dumped by two franchises...wasn't grabner dumped by two teams?

and I believe stevedepot even said himself he liked grabners improved play to go with the speed of his game. in fact, I think some posters here have said they like grabner..

I think garth is improving...last year he would've waited for the deadline, and got squat..or picks...now he trades wisniewski gets two picks, roli for a prospect...as much as I don't like garth, I have to give him some pluses here..

come on people...we knew this team was going to suck this year..rebuilding takes time..and it sucks..but I believe this is the right move.

You are all missing the point. This is a GREAT move by Snow. Now we can use all the money we're saving and offer Semin a 25 year deal.

Just add this stupidity to the long list.

I have a saying I stand by in business. I say "I don't have to agree with it, but I do need to understand it".

In this case neither applies.

fleeced? do you remember that last year we could't get a bag of pucks for Rolston? The Isles which are going nowhere fast unloaded a 41 yr old goalie for (dare I say) potentialy a decent d-man. Garf owes it to Rolston for being the good soldier and sending him to a team that is playoff bound. If Rolston wants, he could return next year(why? I don't know?).

The tank is on, with the Devils with no 1st round pick, the 1st overall pick will belong to the disfunctional team we call the Islanders. :disgraced:

so even if the devils finish last, and we finish 2...we still get the 1st? what happen to the devils pick?

How many times have the Islanders given up on young prospects only to watch them flourish elsewhere? Lord knows Milbury traded away an allstar team or two. Maybe as Howie say's "the worm is turning" and It is the Islanders that will benefit from an impatient team giving up on young raw talent. This team sucks and Roloson is not part of the future. :disgraced:

not fair to say he was dumped twice since the first time he was traded, it was for Dan Boyle, a perennial all star and top 10 dman in nhl.
