If Grabner is even or past someone, noone can catch him in the NHL. He's that fast.

It's unreal.

It's not just enough being impressed with the foot speed Vinny,
how many times have we seen him have his stick tied up momentarily
but he manages to kick the puck ahead without breaking stride.

The effort is always there and so have been the results.

I noticed that he always looks for the seam and then exploits it with his speed. Goring mentioned it too. he can be very good, if not great.

They were just saying on NHL Network that there are a few players that have similar speed, but can't piece it together to put it to good use like Grabner seems to be doing: finding seams, knowing when to use it, etc. He's doing all of those things. One important thing they also said on NHL Network was that he's not using his speed 100% of every shift. He turns it on when the situation dictates it. His hands are catching up to his speed. It's amazing to watch what he does. Amazing.

We had a player like that, who's hands caught up with his feet, and ended up scoring 40 in a season ;)

Best not mention his name though :D

Yeah, he scored 40 goals....

Koskinen sent down to the Bridge. Lawson taken off IR. Guess Lawson is the better goalie by an inch or two...

So I'm sitting at my desk , and something hits me on the shoulder. I turn around and see a hockey puck on the floor behind my chair -- looks like one of the long rebounds given up yesterday in Buffalo by Montoya finally fell to earth!

Let's hope Lawson is ready to go.

3, Kaleta f#@ked up. He found Hamonic at the end of the first. Hamonic said we're gonna go. Watch Kaleta shake his hand at him.

Kaleta told him "I've got a broken hand. Can't dance."

So Hammer slashed him on the hand.

yeah I sure that..I saw the coward waving his hand at him, thought he was a doing an avery impersation..but is that true, he had a broken hand..and travis is great..

travis slashing his hand..

And Sabre hearings or suspensions announced yet today?  No?
I guess the league continues to be a mockery of itself...

about those plays..kaletta first hit tavares along the boards, clean hit I believe...then later on hit hamonic with the elbow to the head..what I want to know is why didn't any of the Islanders during the game do something about it?

I'm talking about supplementary punishment... didn't Gillies just get 10 games for a hit to the head the very same day? Cooke a couple days ago? The point I am making is that this team's actions (IMO) on friday were a result of all the liberties, cheapshots, and no-calls that happen almost every game.

....and here we are the very next game....the same day Colin makes a statement disparaging the Isles and headshots in general, and one of our guys takes a hard elbow to the head....and the league isn't even gonna look at it. :puke:

speaking of the Gillies suspension....wasn't this his 1st? Why the efff is it 10 games? OH....he's an islander AND must be made an example of right?

I think you meant he got 9 games not 10...I'm pissed of with that too..but, in my eyes..the only way to get respect, is take action on your own...and I guess we are going to see more of what happen friday night...but besides all that...the game itself..once again someone took liberty with an islander and were was haley or konokpa..tavares, hamonic, then nielsen get cheap shot and no response from the players..we already know the league ain't doing jack sh!t about it..but again, if you play with an edge and actually show it game in game out that you won't take sh!t, sooner or later you will get the respect..one game means crap to me and to everyone..consistency,otherwise they look like they were off their meds friday night..I don't know how else to explain what I mean.
