I was just looking at the Compuware 3 Stars on NHL.com (about halfway down the home page) and JT was the "Right Now" first star. I didn't think much of it he had a great game last night, but then I looked at this season and JT was first again! Can somebody please explain to me how this happened? He's obviously a great player, but he's beating out Stamkos? Wow! http://www.nhl.com/ice/threestarsstandings.htm |

Sorry I didn't phrase that sentence correctly. Obviously, he had a great game last night, so having the first star today didn't surprise me. |

I think that says more for our lack of talent on this team that he's always a star. Hes quietly having a solid season though. |

Absolutely. I'd also like to see Comeau and Parenteau get to 20. Can't remember the last time we had three 30 goal scorers or five 20 goal scorers. |

imagine paranteau getting to 20..wow, what would all the naysayers here think of that? tavaras, moulson and paranteau (one line having three 20 goal scores), yeah, I can't believe this ex ranger cast off, career ahler, should be a 3rd liner, get some real talent with JT, is a 20 goal scorer. And mister bambi playing with real talent with the nucks, hmm, has 9 goals...yep, lets keep picking on papsmear..I think you guys, and you know who you are, are waaaayy off the boat on this one..I think its time you gave him his due respect. And say, "you were wrong".

Parenteau gives an A effort every game. He's not somebody I'd want to keep long term but he's had a good season and I'd definitely consider bringing him back. |

I imagine a true first line wing with some hitting and speed in his game in PA's place. Although he is improving, and the line is showing chemistry. Eventually we all know Moulson needs to come off this line, but we need to upgrade from Parenteau sooner rather than later. |

They can replace PA on the first line without replacing his roster spot in general. I'd love to see a true first line RW on this team next season. |

don't get me wrong here..I will have to agree with all, when the islanders go out on july 1st and sign that big time winger with to play with tavares..ha, I'll shine shoes when that happens. Come on guys, don't make me laugh, or my hopes up..I got excited for kovy, nothing. last july, nothing.nope I'm not getting excited. I will be koolaid into cheering on paranteau, because thats what wang wants. Atleast until he gets his way. |

we had 5 20 goal scorers the year we lost to Buffalo in the playoffs...Hunter, Sillinger, Kozlov, Blake and I forget who the other was...probably Parrish. |

Actually, it isn't. Papsmear is TERRIBLE in his own end making blind passes that lead to scoring chances. He SHOULD score 20 goals playing all the PP time he gets and all the time he plays with Moulson and Tavares. Put Bailey on that wing and he will score 25-30 goals easy and probably boost Tavares into the 40's. |

Bailey would not score 20-30 goals easy on that line. Bailey has proven nothing so far in his career. He has it in him talent-wise to be that kind of player, but he simply doesn't produce. Plenty of time in his career to become that kind of player, but its unfair especially to PA to say that Bailey could do better. He can't, at least not yet. As far as PA being terrible defensively, his -10 is equal to Josh Bailey and behind Blake Comeau's -17. Let's remember here that Grabner started with very limited icetime and earned his place on the top 6 forwards. No reason why Bailey can't do the same. Long-term, I'd hope he becomes a better player than Parenteau is. Needs to prove it first. |

That spot is reserved for Nino right now. I'm sure the blackboard of the future Islanders in Garths office has his name there. Come camp it's his job to lose. |

If Parenteau works on his passing and timing and improves, Nino is on line 3. PA has at minimum produced which matters on a normal hockey club. That said, 50% of the moves you make with a puck leading to turnovers.....we already have that in net once the knee is better. He damned well better work hard on his timing and discipline. |

It was Miro. Parrish was gone by then. Blake had 40 goals, Satan 27, Silly 26, Kozlov 25 and Hunter 20.
