I took the opportunity to kill 3 birds with one stone today I replaced my burst radiator, I did an electric fan mod, and I completed one of the incomplete tasks on the Rhino. I pulled the aluminum radiator out of the Rhino and got the fan, switch and wiring that was needed to get it all routed and wired and put it all together on Cochise. Very simple install, nothing technical about it, took about an hour and I eliminated a lot of of bulk in the engine compartment and probably gained a few horsepower. I'm stoked, this would probably cost less than a hundred bucks to do I'd guess... A controller like Andrew's would be better, but since this is actually for the race truck and Cochise never runs warm, it'll be just fine. I'm going to post the pictures here for now, I'll maybe post them here from flickr or something if I get time later, but that's still a PITA for me as I'm pretty technically challenged.... I wish I could just CARB IT, bot that's not happening...

I thought I read somewhere on "that other site", that running electric fans might cause a need for an upgraded alternator. Being in FL, I think I would like to do the 2 fan setup as well. Any truth to this?

Also, what about a shroud?

I used a 16inch fan on mine with an adjustable temp controller. Is fits perfectly height wise but has an inch or 2 either side.
