So what's your favorite? Best value? How is it best enjoyed? I'm horribly biased so I'll let you go first. Martin. |

I'm not CRAZY about whiskey, but I drink it from time to time (with Coke)... I personally am not a fan of the taste of any alcohol so it has to be cleverly disguised. If I am drinking whiskey, I've found that Maker's mark is pretty smooth. I probably haven't tried most of the whiskeys out there so what do I know? Bert likes Bushmills, I guess that's ok. |

I'm with Andrew, I've stuck to Captain Morgan and Coke for most of my drinking experiences. Been introduced to Sailor Jerry recently, like that too.. |

Andy Australia is not known for having a whiskey climate. Rum would likely be my warm climate spirit of choice as well. That and vodka tonic. John. Makers is an excellent bourbon an is thought of as the standard for judging premium bourbons. It's great in coke and on ice. Sailer Jerry's on a bit of crushed in the summer sun. You can't beat it. Bushmills I forgot all about Irish whiskey. I prefer scotch though. Cheers |

Probably wouldn't care for mine. Anyway, it's Glenlivet, or as the Scotch would say, The Glenlivet. It's single malt, not blended, and for me, has to be enjoyed over only ice in front of a roaring fire on a cold winters night. |

I'm still on the scotch kick I started 4 years ago. Love the stuff. I like the 18 year glenlivet, as well as many 12 year single barrels. Drinks well as you prescribed, fire included. Burning cherry firewood in the wood stove, drinking 18 year double casked and reading through the Haynes manual. That's what I call Thursday night. Ron. |
