Got my gasket around the glass. Cord has been inserted into it's proper void. Soap makes everything slippery. Still can't get her done. Are their any tricks to doing this one solo? Or am I just jacking off? Ron |

Possible stupid question...are you installing the glass into the rubber or rubber on glass into the frame? |

Usually much easier with 2 people. One on the inside of the truck and one on the outside. That's why you got married.

Yeah I'm with J5 on that one. It makes life easier if someone can apply a bit of pressure from the outside while you pull the rope on the inside. |

Yep. I start at the upper right hand corner (inside) working down to the lower right hand corner and across. This allows you to get both right hand corners seated then the bottom requires less umph. So when you get the bottom left the person on the hood can lean into it with their knees and push downward with their hands as you work along through the top. The knees apply constant pressure and the hands can follow as needed. I use silicone spray or sometimes mineral oil and 550 or 250 paracord. Hope this helps. |
