The Eörlingan Language is very unique. It draws some inspiration from Germanic elements, Nordic elements, and English elements. But the majority of the Eörlingan language comes from its own people, seeing as they are very nationalistic, and do not approve of outside influence. Here we go!

First up, how certain letters are said. Vowels are a big thing in this language, with many versions of the same thing.

a - Short a sound, with a British accent. Like a in charred
ä - Long a sound. Like a in air.
ā - Short a sound, with an American accent. Like a in cat (Rare)

e - Short e sound. Like the e in influence. (Note that in some accents, the e will sound more like the long a sound.)
ë - Long e sound. Like ee in see
ē - Used to denote the long a sound in some accents. The E in Eörlingan is said like this. (It is optional to use this, but most Eörlingans know their vocabulary as to not necessitate the use of the special letter.)

i - sounds like the i in stick

o - Short o sound. Like the o in frog
ö - Long o sound. Like the o in ornery
ø - said as the u in mud

u - said as the oo in boot
