according to Urcean years, let's make this as collaborative as possible, only events I have so far are: 978: The petty kingdoms and duchies of Pel descend into brutal civil war as the nominal former head of the Pelian nation, the King of Zojurn (who held the title of Pelwalda, ruler of all Pelians), is killed in battle fighting against the Ferguzid Caliph, Absur IV. The once-proud and influential nation descends into hundreds of years of interior disputes. 979: Absur City is founded in lands conquered from Pel. For many years, it would be known as "Absuranopolis" to those outside the Islamic world. 1001: Caliph Absur IV dies, beginning the slow decline of the Ferguzid Caliphate. His remains are interred at a grand mausoleum in Absuranopolis. 1134: Under the strain of Ferguzid invasion, the Empire of Dorma splits as Palmerian and Shambalian lords seperate from the Empire 1142: Dorma's capital, Onsburg is sacked by Pauldustllahni refugees, who soon establish the Kingdom of Dormanshire. 1163: Pel is united under the Meron Dynasty for the first time in nearly three hundred years, with King Davim I, previously a warlord and mercenary in the service of the Pauldustllahni Kingdom against the Ferguzids, taking the throne and reigning from Nieuw Zojurn (which had, by this point, begun to be rendered even in local sources as Sojourn or Sojourner). The Kings of Pel would soon begin to take offensives against the Ferguzid Caliph. 1194: Zojurn is recovered from the Ferguzids by King Geora I of Pel. 1201: Caliph Abu-Bakr IV dies. The Ferguzid Caliphate nearly disintegrates as several heirs of equal power and standing contest for the throne of the Caliphate. 1207: Az-Zahir Ferguzid manages to defeat all other claimants and become sole ruler and Caliph, ending the vicious Ferguzid Civil War. In the process of the war, however, the Emirate of Uzbeckistan managed to become independent of the Caliphate, draining the Ferguzids of much-needed resources and manpower. 1218: King Davim IV of Pel defeats and kills Caliph Az-Zahir II at the Battle of Bale Mountain, destroying the Ferguzid Caliphate and balkanizing central and north Ixnay 1219: The Pelians under King Davim begin indiscriminantly pillaging and looting what would become the Absurranian countryside, in an event known as the "Pelian Vengeance". King Davim has the tomb of Caliph Absur IV desecrated and his remains destroyed. It would be converted into a fort to defend Absuranopolis as the city would become a Pelian frontier city. 1241: Petty Emir Abdullah Khalid of the Khalid Emirate, today part of southern Absurrania, retakes Absuranopolis. 1302: Emir of Uzbeckistan takes the title of Exarch following his conquest of much of the northern basin, creates Orthodox Christianity and Manunkie Pantheon as co-official religions along with Ibadi Islam 1301: Emir Abdulaziz Khalid conquers the last of the petty Emirs and founds the Sultanate of Absurrania. 1353: Omnus Populi loses its last continental territories as the small Kingdom of Saxia allies with the King of Veedania to conquer the Dominate's territories in modern-day Solisbury. 1402: The Xelphic nation emerges as a mercantile republic with mixed religious influences. As a people, they are ethnically Manunkie but are influenced by hundreds of years of Istoryan cultural influences. Xelphic merchants expel Istoryan political authorities 1405: Saxia goes to war with the weakened La Joya mercantile republic, which is quickly defeated. Powerful locals soon reform the polity into the Empire of Istorya. 1423: The Duke of Solis-On-Bury, the largest city in Saxia, usurps political authority and becomes "Mayor of the Palace" and "Princeps" of the country. 1441: With authority of the Pope, the Princeps of Solis-On-Bury deposes the King of Saxia, forming the Principality of Solisbury. 1447: Salesian Trade Republic forms as the East Salesiacs settle in their territory. 1521: Protestant reformation. Solisbury, among others, becomes a high-church Protestant state. It soon sends missionaries to the neighboring Manunkie peoples. 1531: The Pelians recapture Absuranopolis. The city remains a border city and changes hands nearly twenty times between 1531 and 1953. 1604: West Salesiac people, following an agreement with the King of Pel, settle as the Kingdom of Gouda. 1779: Following the death of Sultan Mahmud II Banaj, the Absurranian War of Succession begins, which would signal the decline of the Sultanate. The war will rage until 1801. 1892: Beginning of the Absurranian Civil War. 1899: Sultan Illyaas Banaj is deposed by the military, and the Absurranian People's Republic is formed. 1931: A modernizing People's Republic of Absurrania clarifies that their capital city shall be referred to as "Absur City", and mail addressed to "Absuranopolis" will not be delivered. 1946: Sultan Mehmezi Tuwaib overthrows Premier-General Ahmed Ayoob with popular support, reestablishing the Absurranian Sultanate. 1953: Sultan Mehmezi defeats the Pelian State and reclaims Absur City for good following its loss during the '40s. 1954: Following years of MorningStar's (a political party) continued control over both the Uzbeck people and influence over the continent itself, neutral civilian planes begin to be shot down in the continent, sparking a regional crisis. The region descends into the First Great War, as continental powers battle Uzbeckistan for survival. 1959: End of the First Great War with the collapse of the Uzbeck Empire. Several former Uzbeck territories fall under the influence of Pauldustllah, which eventually either purchases them or annexes them via floods of settlers. 2000: The Second Great War erupts as a civil war for the political future of Urcea arises. The Urcean Imperial faction is primarily aided by Landderic and Sveltic elements, while Solisbury rushes to the aid of the emerging Republic. Edited by Urcea, Jul 23 2015, 06:30 PM.
