On campus are both a high school and a college for talented young men and women between the ages of fourteen and thirty. Aside from participating in an award-winning educational program, you will be trained in the ways of hand-to-hand, ranged, and magical combat. Suddenly, all of your wildest dreams are within reach. Alas, behind this school's fairy tale appearance is an ulterior motive. ...At least, some of the students seem to think so. While most are perfectly happy living their lives, a few are convinced that darkness lies at the heart of White Rose. Not everyone feels this aura. Those who do are thought to be crazy. Still, the presence of a secret is unmistakable. The students that want to unravel this mystery have formed a secret group: ERHAT (Every Rose Has a Thorn). Together they stay vigilant, bent on discovering Headmaster White's motivations. Even those who love the academy sense that White has more than one side. But if ERHAT's activities are brought to the attention of the staff, they will be in deep trouble... Occasionally, students disappear. Please be sure to mind them or you will be removed from the story. • Try to be at least semi-literate. You don't have to be a novelist, but don't be sloppy with spelling and grammar. Either first or third-person is allowed, but once you make a decision please stick with it. Don't surround action in stars. Use detail, and try to make each post at least three sentences. ABSOLUTELY NO TEXT TALK! • Do be careful to maintain a PG-13 level. Characters may kiss, hug, cuddle, etc. In general, keep it above the waist or limit intimate scenes to "so and so made love". Also, fight scenes can be violent and bloody as long as they aren't unreasonably graphic. Use your best judgement. • No godmodding. This is controlling another character, the plot, your surroundings, etc. Don't dodge every attack or rise from the dead. You're not invincible. The one exception to godmodding is controlling a staff member that has not yet been claimed. For example, if your character goes to history class and there is no history teacher, you may make up a teacher and control their actions to a certain extent. • If you are going to quit, let us know. Try to post at least once more so everyone knows what happened to your character. Preferably, they should disappear or be be killed off. • Don't run away with the plot. An entire page consisting of dialogue between you and your friend is mind-numbingly boring. • Be consistent. Unless it fits in with your character bio, don't suddenly develop a new power. It's irritating. • Rules may be added as I see fit. Stay informed. NOTE: In the world where this story takes place, all races are aware of each other and participate in the same society. That doesn't mean they all get along, though. A lot of humans are prejudiced; vampires tend to break the law; nekos have a strong distaste for lycans, etc. White Rose Code of Conduct "The aim of this Code of Conduct is to foster an environment that is safe and conductive to learning. To achieve this goal, faculty, staff, parents, students and other members of the community must have a clear understanding of the school's expectations for student behavior." -Headmaster White Below are the basic regulations that are to be heeded by all White Rose students. • Put forth your best effort to meet class expectations. • Conduct yourself in such a manner as to promote a positive educational environment. • Do not interfere with the orderly conduct of classes and activities, force others to participate, or violate the rights of persons who may disagree. • Do not carry, conceal, or bring onto school property any materials which are inappropriate or may disrupt the educational process. Potentially harmful personal belongings must first be approved by authorized personnel. • Assist school personnel by reporting misconduct. • It is your job to access necessary support services, participate in these support services and make school personnel aware of individual needs. • You have the responsibility to meet academic qualifications, other criteria and qualifications and/or standards of behavior. Someone shouts through the din of the main hall. "Is that a new girl? "Don't be crazy," A girl responds. "It's the middle of the semester, nobody new would be coming now." Jane blushes deeply and hunches forward, to avoid the eyes. She continues walking.

It was rare to see new students at White Rose in the middle of the year. She flicked her ears, trying to pick up snippets of conversation pertaining to the new arrival. Yes, it was true. Someone new was heading her way. Skills training doesn't begin for another hour, Shiva thought to herself. I suppose I have time to show this girl around. Father would make me do it, anyway. She adjusted her dress and made her way toward the new student.

"High School dormitories are this way, I guess..." She traces the hall on the with her finger, turns to that direction and looks up. In front of her was one of the most beautiful girls she'd ever seen. Except, something was off. Jane gasps as she sees the kitten ears and tail flicking behind her. Was it a costume? A prank? Jane fumbles with her English as she says "E-Excuse me? Is that a... costume?"

"No, this most certainly is not a costume. I just prefer fancy clothes." When she realized the girl was staring at her cat features, she sighed, "Haven't you ever seen a neko before?"

Her voice trails off as she looks around. It seems like story book characters her mother used to read to her had come alive. Wizards, goblins, even little fairies flittered high above her. It seemed to her like she was the only normal person there. "Excuse my accent. I am from France ,you see, and I've only been living in America for a couple of months."

Not a lot of humans that can use magic well." She pointed at the school map the girl was holding. "Anyway, you look a little lost. Would you like me to show you to the junior division dorms?"

I don't know which creatures are indigenous to France, but North America is very diverse. There are almost as many supernatural beings as there are humans." Shiva laughed softly. "Oh, and my name is Shiva. I'm the Headmaster's daughter."
