"Hatred unites us. In that sole, distinguishing motive.. we shall have our revenge." —Darth DrakatisSubject: Darth Drakatis Dossier: Born 1700 BBY and raised on Korriban, Saerzin Kall distinguished herself as an enigmatic and timely flexible student who possessed an uncanny habit for survival. It was this habit, Per Se the willingness to steep to even the lowliest of levels if it meant her own preservation, that quickly caught the eye of her eventual master, Lord Acherias Mannon. Lacking the physicality of her peers or the durability that followed, Saerzin provided the means of brains over brawn that saw to her acceleration in the arts of Dark Alchemy and Sorcery. Ritualistic play was practically her bread and butter, enabling her to weave events and carefully bide her time with a tempered patience that so often made her own master wary of her motives; enabling her to utilize his paranoia to her behest and solidified his trust in her being. Even so, she knew of his apprehension to her affairs, considering her an ambitious and frankly vile despoiler.
The time ultimately came. She poisoned her master during his sleep, pinning the death of her master on the fellow apprentice, Jurak Denryis - a human warrior-to-be. Despite the accusation, Jurak rose to the position of Lord; besting Saerzin in single's combat and opting to have her wallow in shame of her defeat rather than kill her. Believing himself above her deceitful methods, Jurak forcibly attested the position of advisor upon the rising Sorceress--binding her to his will in that should she ever tell a half-truth or a lie, he would take from her that which she valued most a piece at a time. His stronghold against her could only last so long during the war, as her deception took roots elsewhere in the guile of Jedi Master Ardas Flynt. Unwittingly, Lord Jurak eventually found himself out-manned and out-witted by the Jedi Master in a battle upon Malrev IV--soon realizing in his final moments of revelation that he had been lied to.
Saerzin ascended. Without challenge, the position of Lord was granted unto the quickly growing Sith. Years into the war, she had attained a substantial power-base through the art of a silver tongue and shows of dark power; a growing power that caught the attention of her kin in a darker light. It was an inevitable consequence, to ascertain strength in the New Sith Empire, that a rival would soon seek to undo her accomplishments despite a common enemy in the Jedi. The man's name was Darth Vrain--etched by a militaristic drive for supremacy, Vrain detested of Saerzin's belief that "the end justify's the means", seeking to dismantle her before the seeds of 'corruption' within the Empire had a chance to spread. Knowing full well that she was simply no match for the veteran of combat, Saerzin opted for an unorthodox approach. She woo'd him, a technique that was initially cast aside without a second thought.. despite the former's close-encounter. It would, however, end up in a clandestine romance of love-hate. it was the opportunity she had been waiting for, to work alongside the Darth in the hopes to grasp the chance of his retirement. Such a chance arose during the first battle of Mizra, where both Jedi and Sith forces loyal to Vrain clashed on the planet's surface within a dense, jungle climate. Staging Vrains supposed 'death', Saerzin had his own capitol ship bombard the skirmish site - obliterating any and all within the radius of the bombardment and assuring Darth Vrain's death.
She took credit for the victory. Darth Vrain was disavowed as an overly-eager fool that led his men into death, that perhaps his age had caught up with him and his lack of foresight had finally taken hold. It was Saerzin who reaped the rewards, finally enabled by her superiors to abscond her birth name, choosing the moniker of Darth Drakatis and thereby achieving one of her many goals. Prior to replacing Darth Vrain's position on Mizra, the newly arisen Drakatis had taken interest in the alchemical melding of flesh and steel, peering into the methods of cybernetics and dark mutations that could drive the next level of evolution. Such dismay became of her vessel, when her efforts were forcibly made to press against the Jedi forces upon Mizra.. |
