Battledress - Information Downloaded
-

| Owner: Nali Talkia'na Model: Commando Battledress Manufacturer: Unknown
Material (I): Leather
Material (II): Plastoid
Enhancement (I): Utility Belt, including various gear and tools for commando use
Enhancement (II): Comm unit built into her head-dress.
Description: A somewhat unusually designed battledress designed with Twi'leks in mind, this particular outfit - like most - was made specifically for the commando who used it. Nali Talkia'na continues to make use of it during her time as a Sith, due in no small part to her integration of both Sith and Commando training and techniques.
Nali's in particular was resigned by herself after her recruitment as a Sith Acolyte, with Lightsaber combat in mind, allowing for less obstruction and more agile maneuvers at the expense of less protection - any of which she could acquire, she knew they would not stand up to a Lightsaber.

Lightsaber - Information Downloaded
-

| Owner: Nali Talkia'na Weapon: Lightsaber
Description: A lightsaber of gold-bronze design.
While her first lightsaber was given to her upon recruitment, her second was created by herself, with its design heavily based on the first. Unusually for a Sith, the two differ in color; her first, right-hand lightsaber carries a red lightsaber crystal, while her second left-hand lightsaber carries violet, both being synthetic color crystals. There are no special things to note about either one, save that the second is smaller than the first, likely in order to aid as a parrying device.

Blaster Pistol - Information Downloaded
-

| Owner: Nali Talkia'na Weapon: Blaster Pistol
Description: A small, portable side pistol used primarily as a backup rather than a primary weapon. It should be noted that it is capable of firing small plastoid pellets alongside its standard blaster bolts, thus giving it a close-range stun option.

"Your enemies are my enemies, your strength is my faith, your command is my code. I am the blade fitted for your hand, and I am yours to wield." —Nali Talkia'naSubject: Nali Talkia'na Dossier:
Nali Talkia'na has no memory of her parents.
Neither does she remember much of her life before the academy on Ryloth. What she does remember was that she was very young, only three years old, when she came to that place. She would not understand until years later, but while Ryloth was owned at the time by the Republic, the Sith Empire had established a small base of operations on the 'dark' side of the planet, something made possible entirely by the planet's unique rotation. It was a facility dedicated entirely to a training, and to a very certain kind of training at that. The training of Commandos.
Nali would come to be trained as one such a Commando, training that would never abandon her throughout her life. From childhood to adulthood, she learned of marksmanship, of gun construction, of the piloting of certain vehicles, of the nuances of stealth and espionage and sabotage and assassination, of blending into the crowd and seeming to be just a nobody. Of poison, and of a variety of martial arts, things that she would later integrate into her Lightsaber style. Of demolitions, and of deception, and of manipulation - and of loyalty.
Oh yes, she learned that last one perhaps above and beyond all of the others. Against all else, her loyalty was conditioned and cultivated to be entirely to the Sith Empire. The Empire, not the Sith themselves, or any single figure or individual. The principle and concept of the group itself was all that mattered, and it was where her loyalty was centered. If her killing of one of the highest ranked members of their Empire would profit the Empire in the long run, even if the cost were her own death, then she would be fully expected to do it. Brainwashed, in a way, from birth to be a tool for the group.
Yet by the same token, she was raised to still have pride in herself, and a certain individuality. After all, much of what she would do she would do alone, and she would be worse than useless if she needed direction for everything. So she was conditioned to be a person as well as a tool, with her own thoughts and feelings, her own preferences - and her own opinions, much as these tended to be suppressed, at least in public. An assassin was only useful if it could act independently.
This training began when she was three, but would come to an end as she turned twenty. The Sith visited the facility from time to time, given the great risk of doing so. It was on this most recent visit that such a Sith - nobody special, some overly ambitious apprentice or other - detected Nali, and her latent Force Sensitivity. There was no question of permission, of course, from him or from her - if she was of most use as a Sith, then she would become a Sith. And so she eventually found herself on Korriban, where her education in killing continued, albeit down a different track. What she had learned as a Commando would not leave her, however, and she would come to integrate it into her role as a Sith.
Here, at least at first, she did not learn of philosophy or conceptualization or the 'spirit' behind things - she simply learned the doings. Of sensing what was around her, or telekinesis - on others and on the self, to enhance her jumping ability, something she came to appreciate a great deal. So too did she learn of enhancing her speed, something else she would come to appreciate greatly; she found a certain private adoration for this Force, that boosted her already formidable abilities. She found she wanted more of it, not only to boost her usefulness for the Empire, but simply because she wanted it.
A Lightsaber was given to her almost on day one, and she learned very quickly not to hold it too close to herself after one acolyte impaled himself. With time - both with others, and through private experimentation - she learned what she could risk and she she could not with this blade, and she admired its efficiency, though she still preferred hand-to-hand combat. Shii Cho came to her with ease, both in concept and in its practice.
But unbeknownst to the Order - at least, as far as she was aware - she began to gather pieces and equipment. She had examined her own Lightsaber, both physically and with the Force, and drawing upon her training both as a Sith and as a Commando, she sought to create a second one. A fighter had two hands and two feet in combat; less made them all but useless as a martial artist. If she -must- fight with a Lightsaber, then she wished to have two, so as to make fullest use of her hands.
And so, with her construction complete, she would come to study something else by herself. She would come to seek out Jar'Kai, the Jedi art of wielding multiple weapons simultaneously. And in doing so she came to learn of the Jedi, a myth only rarely heard of at the academy on Ryloth. She knew of them, of course, but at the same time she did not - she knew they were her enemy and a source of hate, nothing more. And so, remembering the advice to know her enemy, she came to study the Jedi alongside her learning of Jar'Kai. She found both disdain for them, and a grudging respect; they had to have been impressive to have bested the Sith so many times in the past. And, despite herself, she began to wonder at where the Sith were going wrong, as they so clearly were. Not out of a bid to betray, but out of a bid to enhance - perhaps this was where she would be most useful to the Sith.
Before long, at the age of Twenty Four, she would find herself being called upon by a Sith Assassin - alongside other acolytes. And it was here that her life as a Sith would truly begin, she knew.
Only time would tell what became of it. |
