Subject: D'rell Tos
Dossier: His time with the Jedi began as many have. He was taken at a young age when his sensitivity to the Force was discovered. His father was the political leader leader of his people, and held the prestigious position of Prime Chancellor to Cardia. His mother the aristocratic house-wife and healer who held together the somewhat large, but tightly knit community they looked after. Both were Force Sensitive, though neither knew it. After decades of strife and famine the city was forced into countless petty wars where base resources such as water and food were viciously fought over. After decades of conflict, where once a rich and unique culture thrived, ruin and dust took its place. Instead of immaculate duracrete buildings the people of their city were forced into mud-brick huts and houses with scrap-metal siding, it wasn't long before anything familiar had all but vanished from the land. Into this unfamiliar world a child was born. Born to a group of parents who were out of place and out of time. D'rell knew little of this however, as he was given to the Jedi as an infant, when his Force Sensitivity became apparent after he was found eating a bowl of poptree syrup; Telekinetically.
D'rell spent his early years studying under many different Jedi, Historians, and Politicians alike. He was known as a patient and quiet student, obedient, responsible, and safe.
From economics to biology, he underwent the usual course of study for a young Jedi Initiate. When he was young he was known to be reclusive barring the occasional outburst of sociability. His curiosity led to trouble more often than not, but as he aged he quickly grew out of this tendency to explore with out consideration for consequences, his want for immediate action and gratification replaced with a sense of duty and purpose. The lessons he had learned, while few in the grand scheme of things helped solidify in him a sense of dedication towards the Jedi. He was taken on for advanced tutelage at the age of 14, by a reluctant Jedi Knight named Marius Vivi. It was not the legitimate padawanship he had hoped for, but D'rell graciously accepted study under the man.
Under Vivi, whom was one of many renowned Light-saber Duelists of the time, D'rell's commitment to the Order increased. In him by Marius, were instilled the basic tenants of what is was to be a Jedi, not simply via rehearsal of a code but by actions, inaction and consequences which Marius had orchestrated. Fortunate enough to have been taught in a time of peace much of his time was spent in practice. As he trained to better himself, he found he had a knack for the martial arts. His talent with hands and feet quickly became apparent. And while he didn't possess an immense stature, he was spry and light, enabling him to strike quickly and with precision, favoring such melee attacks and forms of defense, over those relying on sheer strength and brute power.
Before long, war would manifest once again sending the galaxy into a frantic state of turmoil. Only time would tell if the boy would thrive or perish... |
