HOUSE COLLINS "It matters not what you are, but what you do." House Collin's founding father, Barnabus Collins. The House of Collins was always a very accepting group, with some of it's most prominent members being hybrids between Elf and Human, unyielding discrimination from some of the more genetically xenophobic houses. Regardless, this house rules Rhon absolutely, having abolished slavery in the state of Rhon entirely, as well as having dealt with crime very quickly and effectively. It prides itself on the fantastic generals it can provide to the Imperium, as well as the outstanding navy that it yields, to say nothing of the Rhon state army would be crafting just the handle of an unstoppable sword. The House of Collins has also influenced the very economy of the state which it holds, as it's wealth comes from fishing, and the mining of very rare, very specific ores within the deep, underground wells that honeycomb Rhon and it's surrounding seas. This house is the black sheep of the herd, in both it's traditions, and culture, yet they still hold loyalty to the Imperium, and many a time has a Rhon naval blockade kept an enemy from victory, not to mention Rhon's steadfast and disciplined warriors make a fine addition to any shieldwall. ![]() Lord Brensyk Collins, standing at the head of a combined army from many states. Brensyk is a young man of 25, despite his appearance, leading some to believe him to be older. He is a very serious man, who has a deep love for his people and family, and often does much investigation on every decision he must make. Standing at 6'7, this man is as tall as he is imposing, he shows unwavering loyalty to the Imperium, he is essentially the next continuation of his families' generosity and loyalty, to both the people, and the prominent. Even at such a young age, he has shown himself a skilled warrior, as well as a talented wizard, during a rather large battle with a huge fleet of pirates, he had managed to summon hundreds of familiars at once, which bolstered the small Rhon fleet exponentially. Many a young woman have been offered to this cold colossus of a man, and he has turned just as many down, as it would seem women do not have as much of his attention as his duties do. He is where he is required to be earlier than anyone else, and is respectful to even the lowliest of peasants, earning him the moniker 'The people's sentinel'. He resides in castle Drakenholl, a huge, lumbering citadel built into Rhon's largest mountain, surrounded by towers that allow hundreds of archers to fire all manners of projectiles upon an attacking force, with walls that are thicker than any mountainside. Within this slumbering giant of a fortress, who's walls glow a feint grey as the sun cascades itself upon it for only half of the day. He seems to be always doing something productive for his people, or for the Imperium as a whole. |

![]() General Winvark Collins of Staadkort Winvark is not actually a member of the royal family, but an adopted general, due to his leadership potential, and commands Rhon's elite navy. This man is a tactical genius when it comes to naval battles, proven time and time again as larger navies with better ships were simply swept aside by his elite force of experienced and disciplined sailors. He was, like his title suggests, born in Staadkort, and served as the governor of Staadkort for some time, but eventually, he went off to war, coming into command of the, at the time, very small Navy, which was just where the leader of the campaign wanted to put him so he was out of the way, but with his leadership, he proved a vital part in winning the campaign to push back a rather large Raider force from the shores of the Imperial mainland, distinguishing himself from the rest of the generals in the Imperium, and Rhon especially. He has served his people for 32 years, and despite being 65, he is as able bodied as any young man. He is known to be a very harsh person, disciplining his men at every mistake, at the same time, he often vocalizes his faith in his mighty navy. It is widely known of his military mindset, preferring to destroy his enemies rather than negotiate with them, and thus, his nickname as 'The Shark' seems to match this man's single-minded willingness to spill as much blood as can be spilled. He cares little for politics or marriage, and has no children of his own, by blood at least, as he has adopted two Elven orphans, Jennsyn and Valessa, both 19. While he is tough on them, he does care for his children, however they both have undergone the training from birth to join The Sword Sisters of Joffalk. Winvark himself was the one who offered these girls to the Sword Sisters, carefully watching over them through their training. |

![]() Lady Mikat Collins of Seretek Lady Mikat, despite her title, is far from womanly, she was an orphan in the second largest town in Rhon, Seretek. She was there when Seretek came under siege from a huge fleet of raiders came to sack the wealthy town, her father, a Sergeant in the Seaguard at the time, was desperately fighting off raiders from his family. Eventually, the brave old man was struck down by a certain War Chief, his name was Ingvor Iron Knuckles, the 17 year old Mikat found herself and her mother at the mercy of this near 7 foot tall warrior, covered in blood, she attempted to stop him from coming after her mother, but he knocked her aside as if she was nothing at all, and she blacked out, only awaking to see him cleave her head clean off. Filled with pure anguish and rage, she picked up her father's sword, and as Ingvor was admiring his latest kill, a sword found itself lodged through the behemoth's heart, she turned the sword slowly, before ripping it out of the now lifeless husk. The battle was over soon on, after the raiders heard that their legendary Ingvor was slain by a peasant girl. She was filled with incredible sadness at the loss of her family, and her life, it would seem, so, she attempted to commit suicide by hanging herself off of a nearby watchtower, only when the rope was cut, and she fell into the arms of an unknown figure, did she find purpose, she told him of this catastrophe, then the man retorted with kind words to her. He spoke to her about how through loss, you learn valuable lessons, and that she one day would be able to defend her children when the time would come, and how she should not give up. The man departed soon after, leaving her dumbstruck. She longed to find that man, and, to give herself purpose, joined the Seaguard, like her father, it was there she earned her ranks, there she caught the eye of Brensyk Collins, age 23, and his father, Joffalk. When Brensyk had heard that the young woman, aged at only 22, had been adopted into the family as a knight, and a family member, he could only smile, satisfied that the girl he saved that one, dark night, had risen above all others, making her parents beyond proud, he's sure of, she never did know who it was, but Brensyk is obligated to tell her one day. Lady Mikat is as beautiful as she is hot-tempered and brave, she has no mind for tactics, and is a brutal fighter, often shrugging off injuries that others would be unable to even continue fighting with. She uses her specially-made two handed sword, Retribution. She is incredibly tall, 6'3, and has strength comparable to that of three muscled men. Needless to say, she is more man than most of the men under her command. She is known to be quite respectful to the noble family, often referring to Brensyk never by name, but by his title as Lord. She believes strongly in Rhon's traditions, something that was taught to her by her parents. She's often very angry, not only for her past, but at the fact many a wandering knight hope to 'tame' the violent beauty. She does love Rhon's people with all her heart, and she has a respect for any true soldier on the battlefield, be they friend or foe. She is also known to enjoy joining in on jokes that make Brensyk either annoyed, or embarrassed, even if they involve one of their supposed candle-lit romances. As of currently, she leads a unit of Seaguard, who patrol around her hometown, Seretek, only 50 in current number, but this band has seen more war than the other units combined. ![]() Jayassa Av'ain To say that House Collins and the Kolkat keep away from each other is far from the truth, and Jayassa is a constant reminder to that. The Kolkat were always a topic of discussion among the nobility of Rhon, whether to exterminate them, or have them submit to Imperial rule. But, this all changed when, ten years ago, Jayassa Av'ain, the recognized leader of the Kolkat, entered Castle Drakenholl, and swore loyalty to Joffalk Collins, putting the numerous settlements and strongholds of the Kolkat, under the control of House Collins, and within a year, the garrisons were replaced by Rhon's own forces, while some unrest was bound to happen ,over time, the Kolkat became proud citizens of the Imperium, enjoying the fact that they wouldn't be discriminated against, like some of their ancestors before. Jayassa had been the one that brought peace and prosperity to both her people, and Rhon. Until now, she had been quietly ensuring her people were content, serving as a governor for House Collins, however, when Brensyk took the throne very early, upon his father's untimely death, did she really become active, and over the years, she has become a close friend, and adviser to Brensyk on matters of politics, and diplomacy. She is also a capable hunter, often killing off would-be predators with her mace with ease. She is quite an odd being, looking very odd for a Kolkat especially, as the color of her eyes has taken them over completely, and they glow even in broad daylight, not to mention the pair of horns that she wears with pride, and many assume they are actually a part of her body, but rather, are a pair of head ornaments worn by those of power within Kolkat society. Her personality is quite unique, at one moment, she can be the respectful and kind adviser she has become to Brensyk, and the next, be as vicious and violent as the creatures that she hunts. She resides currently in Castle Drakenholl, overseeing management of Rhon whilst Brensyk is away. |

James Windwalker Collins A young cousin of the main line of the house, he is only 19, he is very naive, and has a very limited view of the word, regardless, he has devoted his studies to everything military. He aspires to one day become a general within his own House, or within the Imperium, but recognizes the fact that he is inexperienced, and hopes one day to prove his worth, to king and country. ![]() Barnabus Collins, the founder of House Collins, and conqueror of Rhon. Barnabus's original name was Barnabus Jassa, belonging to house Jassa, also being the son of it's leader. [Originally hailing from House Jassa, it's fief being somewhere in Avinter, (due to the house being disbanded, there are few records that provide much information about it.), he had showing promise in his studies, and was becoming a candidate for one of the Emperor's chosen adviser. But at the same time, had been gaining renown as a powerful warrior, fighting in many campaigns throughout the Imperium of Darion. It was 943 IC when Barnabus , with the Emperor's blessing, set sail with a sizeable army to the then-unconquered Rhon, to claim it, and expand the Darion Imperium's holdings yet again, it was within a year that the land was subdued, and bent to the will of the Imperium. In recognition of his service, Barnabus was given ownership of Rhon. However, rather than permit his father, one who was inept at leadership, and would only turn Rhon to ruin, to rule it, he created his own Noble House, cutting off all ties with House Jassa. As soon as he was instated as the owner of Rhon, with his House established, he made several shocking proclamations that set him at odds with almost every mainland house. These included everything from the abolition of slavery, the idea that the peasantry will have a say in even the highest seats of government, and equal opportunities for all who came to Rhon, regardless of race, or gender. He also set the foundation for Rhon's efficient and effective law system, like courts to judge the persecuted and local police in every town that would patrol both it's streets, and the roads/grounds surrounding it, to prevent banditry and lawlessness. Barnabus eventually slowed down in his zealous ruling of Rhon, reclining to castle Drakenholl, the fortress he had built over the years, after the tiring work that he had performed for his people, combined with the loss of his wife after his son was born, he simply passed away, having fulfilled his duties as a ruler, leaving Joffalk, age 38, who had his own son, to rule the land. His death has always been up to debate, as soon after, his son, some claim it was old age, others say that there was a much more malevolent reason behind it. Regardless of the truth, Joffalk soon passed away afterwards, his cause of death was equally unknown, barely two months after his father had died, leaving his son, Brensyk, the next heir to the House. Even in death, Barnabus influenced many things, both in Rhon, and the Imperium as a whole, it was he who brought to popularity the idea of equality, even if it was opposed at first by most other houses in the realm. His name is still spoken by scholars throughout the realm, for the conquest of Rhon, and the uniqueness that he had bestowed upon it. Edited by Wbtrex, Oct 12 2013, 10:03 PM.
