![]() A great cataclysm is an event in which those transported by Tyree (Jedi, Sith, and Je'daii) alike fought in a war that devastated Tython's eco system through a series of torrential Force Storms. Tyree stayed behind and had sacrificed himself in order to defeat Abeloth for good, leaving Tython to the toils of all three sides. A direct descendant Venia Draykon would then go onto become Queen along with her hand Tarren Drovec, managing to quell the battles between all three sides before the erratic weather took a foothold. Decimating much of Tython, including their knowledge of the Force, and technology the Je'daii Order were the only ones to survive the cataclysm and would return to the surface; spending thousands of years establishing Houses (Great, Major, Minor) under the rulership of the Dragon Kings a period that would mark the end of the Golden Age. Thousands of years have passed since that fateful day and the Tythan customs of the Je'daii Order have survived, along with those established Houses of legend. Most notably the separation of House Draykon has remained, the pureblood directly descending from Tyree himself, whereas the latter black in hair derives from Kharrus Draykon's ancient line. Since those ancient times the realm of Tython has been ruled by four Great Houses, each of them with their own sworn major houses, and to the major houses minor ones. To the south, the latter House Draykon rule Kato Zakar and lands of fire and ice, whereas to the north the mountains and plains of Thyr are overseen by House Therit, in the west House Marvelour rule Talss and the wilds of the dark continent, and in the east the illustrious House Suntakamee rules over the island continent paradise of Masara. In the skies however and abroad Aurum the pureblood descendants of Tyree (House Draykon of Aurum) rule over the entirety of Tython in an absolute monarchy. In these days the (SwRp) of old is referenced as the time when "Gods were among us" the legends of Tyree, Drendade, Jedi, Sith, and all that came before are a time so ancient that they are considered a myth. The claim that House Draykon of Aurum directly descends from Tyree is unbelievable, but their rule is strong, and their claim stronger. Able to touch sacred Je'daii artifacts that only one bearing Tyree's blood could. It is through this might that even if considered a myth these Great Houses are uncontested in their claim of these lands. Although scarce the resources of Tython are remarkably similar to that of the First Migration and the first incarnation of the Je'daii Order meaning that hyperspace travel has yet to be invented again. As such the artifacts of Je'daii of old are kept by respective, Great, Major, and sometimes Minor Houses and confer great respect among the people. Whether they be ancient artifacts like swords of former mythic Je'daii Kings, Masters, or Rangers their power is often portrayed as a prestige of lords and ladies of the Houses of Tython. Most of these resources are kept within the eternal Je'daii Temples that although damaged during the cataclysm survived. As a result only the most wise of Je'daii are allowed to acquire, or recover these lost resources of old. Edited by Paul, Aug 18 2017, 05:02 PM.
