I'm doing a survey in order to find out what is wanted and what is unecessary so i don't put to much attention to something which may not be used.

Sea Battles, want it, or not?

If yes, Ships having different stats and modifications and enchancments?

A brief suggestion on a Sea Battle would be awesome as well.

If no, shall Ships still have individual stats? Or perhaps they boost the Crews strength in some way? Or what shall the difference between the Ships be?

I'm thinking bout having 'Free Islands' which means there is no Quest there, but the option to create your very own quest, where you can practically do whatever you want on that Island, such as invade a Marine base or idk, it's up to you to decide what you wanna do. Also thinking bout maybe have that even on some islands with Quests.

Depending on what you do, "your own" story will develop from there, such as marines coming after you, gaining money for it, bounty, maybe extra power. It will make every journey unique.

Sea battles is a big YES for me.

About the ship's stats, that's another yes for me, something like "Ship's Endurance" or st alike, and if the ship sinks, well, Save Your Souls. Also, i think that obviously the shipwright should have a serious influence on the ship's stats and such

The free islands idea would actually make OP Rp's much more enjoyable for me than it has ever been, because i always felt a bit limited by the main, preset questline

Honestly i love every one of those ideas.

And i would think cannon and buying better quality sails would increase stats etc.

And i think ship battles should be fought like a regular rp. Sometimes if possible a pirate on the ship can stop a incoming cannon ball. As well as the captain yelling orders form a distance so the rest of the crew knows what to do

Yes, it can't be a PIRATE rp without sea battles (nrd)

Ships must be unique, and it should transfer to their stats, so yeah i vote for this too.

A Sea battle in my opinion should be essentially a free for all, but only including crew members that are on both ships. And then one character can be manning the ship and do whatever.

Ships shouldn't boost the crew. cause essentially all they are are vessels to get them accross water. And as i said above, each crew should be able to personalise they boat however they need.
