Clan Name: Kosetsu Clan Village: Global with the exception of Gensogakure (Primarily Giagakure and Bandless) Main Element:Doton and to a lesser degree Sunaton Head Leader:Kotsetu, Yoshirou Spoiler: click to toggle In his early years Yoshiro was fascinated by the clan's old tactics designed to intimidate their enemies and destroy their moral. His style developed to imitate his ancestors and aimed more to end the lives of his foes in as gruesome a method as possible so the sight of such would dishearten those who saw it. Many thought him a simple berserker because of it. When he become the clan head at an early age of 31, Yoshirou's reign was challenged at first. Those that did so however soon found him cunning, calculating, and possessing a ruthlessness the clan had not seen since it's early days. He left messages for them detailing the movements of their loved ones and themselves, fallowed by a single sentence on his demand then signed only with the the clan's symbol. Further transgressions were fallowed with a trap layed for the loved one designed to leave little harm and another note saying to tell the transgressor, "Last Chance." Aside from ruling through fear he also started implementing new policies for the clan, having them start leaving their clan symbol painted on the corpses of foes killed in non-covert missions. He also sent out messages to the clan's Bandless members, instructing them to start forming a single organization he named Blood Lotus. The organization's goal was to create shock troops available to the highest bidder and bring new revenue to the clan. Type: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu Symbol: Their symbol resembles a red snow flake with 6 spikes that branch to have 3 points each. Its not uncommon for the members to also carry kunai to carry kunai resembling one of the spikes of their clan symbol. Images Style: The clan prefers close combat with taijutsu augmented by ninjutsu, enhancing both their attack and defense, though usually with the emphasis on defense. There are even rumors of a bloodline ability that protects them in battle. What’s for sure, however, is that many of them have an almost suicidal fighting style. Social Standing: The clan’s social standing is varied as its members. Some are still fairly wealthy from their ancestors’ banditry. However, it’s more common for their members to become sell swords and assassins, the thrill of violence and death still calling to their blood. They often call this the Cat’s curse. In almost stark contrast they are also known to be manipulative and calculating when out of battle. Description: Under the leadership of Yoshirou Kotsetu works to bring down the foes of themselves and their allies in as brutal a way possible, thus discouraging others from retaliating. Background: The clan was first formed in the early days of the hidden villages. One of the Cat’s earlier shinobi was a young man who took on the name Rikutou. They say he fought like one of the demons from the old kingdom, throwing himself at those he and the other bandits attacked with no regard to his safety, yet each time he returned alive. Even as the Cat’s bandits were turned on Gensogakure his clan had started to grow. They took on the name Kosetsu for their habit of leaving a snowflake mark in the snow by laying out their kunai soaked in their victims’ blood. The clan slipped into the background when Gensogakure attacked Core Country bidding their time and manpower. However when the Cat offered reward to take down Kodachi there was a split among the clan. Some joined Gensogakure and the bandits in the attack, but others expended that the Genso blood they had spilt before would spell trouble for them and instead left to integrate with Giagakure. Unfortunately the fears of the second group were well founded and very few of the clan members that left to join the attacking army survived. Rikuto Kosetsu himself died on a suicide mission Kosetsu, Rikuto The individual to head the clan was Susumu Kosetsu. Under his guidance many of the members who had made their way to Gia began to use wealth they had gained in their banditry to gain favor with many of the village’s members. From there they started spreading rumors and fear to the village in order to speed up it’s eventual militarization and attack on the other villages. Their goal was to feed the flames of war so could gain greater wealth from the battlefield while ensuring they would be on the winning side. In the end however, the Dragon, leader of the Juuninshi, would spell the end of that dream. When peace was restored to the lands, those members who had joined Genso and survived quickly fled lest the people of the Crystal country remember their crimes from before. Thus it was that members of the clan eventually made their way into Kodachi and Netsu where they have waited ever since. Of course the majority of the clan's members lived in Gia, and it was there that the next two clan heads were born. The third's reign passed with little happening for the clan, they simply continued to secure their position in the village. The Fourth on the other hand is another story. Yoshirou Kotsetu was a ruthless man he worked to harden the clan for battles yet to come. Not only did he have push the clan to take up training their young earlier, but he had them return to their old practices to leave their clan symbol on the bodies of those they killed. He also worked to organize the clan's bandless into a single organization. Under his reign the clan retook it's old image from the villages' wartime. Specialty: The clan specializes in intimidation and shock tactics. Sunaton and Satetsuton are common among their members. Their style works to combined jutsu enhanced defenses to fight at close range. |

The main element and Specialty doesn't really go together in my head. They got sunaton to a lesser degree, but it's still common among their members? |

All who have sunaton have doton, but not all who have doton have sunaton. They may have the capability but they have not trained it. |
