Name: Tsukau Chuu [Sake Manipulator]

Rank: B

Type: Ninjutsu

Category: Personal

Range: Medium

Element: Suiton

Description:
The user sends out chakra into a source of Sake near them, lacing the chakra into the Sake for a few moments as this jutsu charges. While this jutsu is active, the user can slightly manipulate Sake in all forms. Under the users guidance, the Sake can be moved anywhere within their range, lifted and temporarily held into shapes according to their will. However, the user must use exaggerated body motions in order to preform the desired action. Such as a wave of the hand to clear Sake Mist in front of her, or the visual of shaping something in her hands for the Sake to be shaped. Sake that is already in someones body, cannot be manipulated. This jutsu does not require handseals but instead a decent charge up time.

How much chakra and concentration the user expends depends entierly on how much Sake is being manipulated. These costs are per post, with the greatest amount used per post being the cost. Because of this jutsus complex nature, this jutsu requires higher upkeep then most.

1 Cubic Foot = D Rank Chakra and Concentration
3 Cubic Feet = C Rank Chakra and Concentration
9 Cubic Feet = B Rank Chakra and Concentration

How much sake can you control per given cost and how precisely can you control it?

Oh hi ^^

She can only manipulate Sake within Medium range, which is 25 Feet. So at the maximum, 25 feet worth.

As noted in the description of the jutsu, she would only be able to move it around in various directions. Up, down, left, right, ect. She would also be able to move the Sake into shapes, like push and hold the sake into the shape of a wall or a statue or a bunny rabbit. The shapes only last as long as shes maintaining it because its a mist and liquid. That's really it since I didn't list anything else in the first post that this would be capable of. It's a pretty basic jutsu meant to be used with other jutsus for more potent effects.

So if you were in a tub of sake with a 25ft radius you could control all of the sake?

When you put it that way, yes.

My goal here is to have a jutsu that will allow her to move Sake about the field to suit her needs. Like waving away a bit of Sake mist thats in her way, or shaping a wall of Sake in front of her to combo with a future jutsu that will aid in giving her some defence. The jutsu needs to be able to control a considerable amount of Sake in order to make anything worth while, as having this be at Short range is simply not enough to bother. The Sake would never reach the intended target otherwise.

I can take it from your one liner posts that you are not fully happy with this, so I ask. Any suggestions for me?

Try some kind of limitation. I suppose it doesn't need to be specific but you shouldn't be controlling everything.

I really don't know how I feel about this. My primary issue is that this jutsu opens up the path for other jutsu like water manipulation, earth manipulation, or fire manipulation.

I don't like the idea of a jutsu that can easily mimic the abilites of several other jutsu.

What about jutsu's such as Wire, Chain or Material Manipulatin then? We have several global jutsus that allow the mimicry of other techniques. Those jutsus are 'puppetry' in style which is what I'm really looking for. Sake puppetry. If you don't like such jutsus, I can respect that. If other mods agree that manip jutsus like this are not jelly I will take this down and we can take a look at the ones on the global listings to add some limiters to them.

I am still thinking of a way to limit this in someway as a responce to Blaze's post, so I havent done so yet. This jutsu isn't meant to be used with ALL the sake within 25 feet, so I'm trying to think of a number here thats satisfactory enough. Suggestions? If no one has any I will tweak this again in a bit.

I am fine with elemental manipulation. It just has to be somewhat like how this jutsu is. I, myself, think this jutsu is borderline between B and A. The only reason why I think this should stay a B is because this is no where near the power I would think an A jutsu has.

So, the question is how to limit the amount of sake that can be manipulated at the same time in the bubble of 25 feet. My thoughts landed me to something along the lines as start from about twice her height. This landed me to 15 feet, but that is a radius of 7.5 feet. So, my suggestion is that you can manipulate up to 10 feet in radius. This means that at max you can manipulate something that is 20 feet long.

Does this suggestion sound okay to other mods? If so, then I will be fine with this jutsu and would use this jutsu as a basis on balancing other elemental manipulation jutsus that may pop up in the future.

I don't need a number. An estimate is fine. Though Apoc's answer seems reasonable. Though, 20ft long and how wide and thick?

The difference between this and wire/chain/material manipulation is that the amounts you can control are very set. It's going to be unlikely that people will have enough of any of those materials to cover as much of an area as this could. Not that limiters are a bad idea.

I have a feeling that this should take a great deal of concentration since its practically "water-bending" but with sake instead.

Also the versatility and near limitless applications for this jutsu make me feel like it should have a heavier drawback/limit to go with it instead of the volume/amount you can control.

/my2cents.

Yup, which is why this is B rank instead of C or D lol. Though smaller amounts would work just fine with me because as I said before it's not my intention to use this with entire areas of Sake. What Apoc said could work for me just fine and dandy, but if anyone has another amount they need to say so. I am not a mind reader and have no idea what other people think is jelly. I just sort of posted this here to see what people thought was good. All I do know is what I wish to achieve. Which is moving the Sake around the field. Which could potentially be close to mimic some jutsus, but not anywhere near as effective.

Also, I in my defence I do believe people are over reacting just a bit. The difference between other jutsus and this one, is the obvious fact that those jutsus are enhanced with chakra for the purpose of attack/defence while this one is only enhanced with chakra to move it around the field and to hold it into a shape. If a Kunai is shot at me, I cannot suddenly block it with a wave of Sake because, the Sake is normal sake and the kunai would kinda be shot right through it. You know, unless another jutsu is used otherwise that makes the wave harder or something. Normal water makes for a poor defence. She could cover herself in this Sake, but what would that do for her since its just normal Sake? Make a whip of Sake? I hardly think it would hurt at all with just manipulating this alone since it would be like taking a hose and waving it back and forth over her opponent. Sake that took the shape and look of a drill would be pretty but what could that accomplish if there is no strength behind it? I've said it again and again, and stressed it in the jutsu description. This jutsu only moves the Sake around the field. Its not some super defence and/offence machine that can generate those things on it's own. No, this jutsu's power would lie in with comboing with other jutsus, it's utility. I'm going to need some help or examples here to see what everyone else is seeing.

But woo, the jutsu has been updated. The amount is smaller then what Apoc has suggested, but it mimics more closly what I want from this. If needed later I can always upgrade later, so it hardly bothers me at all.
