[₪] Miryoku's Shamisen (三味線, lit. 'Shamisen') is a stringed instrument that is carried around with Miryoku at all times. The Shamisen is reinforced with iron as it is used in battle as well, so that it does not break easily. The instrument has a hollow body with a complex chakra network inside it, allowing Miryoku to pump chakra within it and use the vibrations of the melody for his genjutsu tehcniques and otehr uses.
The instruments most notable ability is it's passive genjutsu. Once Miryoku intertwines chakra within the body of the instrument, any melody he plays on the instrument will cast a passive genjutsu over itself that causes anyone who hears the instrument to not only hear it, but also hear a full accompaniment of an orchestra with it. This has no positive or negative effects on the user or target.
テクニック There are several melodies that Miryoku can play on his shamisen that will produce a multitude of effects on not only him but also those around him. Combined with his skill of genjutsu and medical techniques, the effects of the melody portray effects in both fields of jutsu.
[₪] Kyōsōkyoku (協奏曲, lit. 'Concerto') is a C-Ranked genjutsu technique that is one of the simplest melodies Miryoku can play. Much like the Killing Intent technique, the target will experience a moment of stillness in which they can't move; depending on how intense the genjutsu is portrayed, the User may also blur all vision of the target, having the target only focus on Miryoku and his body. This genjutsu is not known to last longer than a few moments.
[₪] Komoriuta (子守歌, lit. 'Lullaby') is a C-Ranked genjutsu technique that is noted as Miryoku's most beautiful melody. The sound of the melody is enough to put anyone to sleep; listening to the melody for more than a few seconds causes the target to fall asleep. While it is much harder to wake them while the melody is still being played, the target may be woken up once the melody stops, as it is only a light sleep. If played in succession, switching from the Lullaby melody to the Concerto melody will allow Miryoku to control the dream of the sleeping target.
[₪] Sanbika (賛美歌, lit. 'Psalm') is a C-Ranked Iryo technique, which takes on a more soothing sound to it. The melody is most often played when a target has suffered an injury or is in deep pain; the melody will clear the targets mind of the pain, allowing them to become calm and focused. However, there are no physical effects to this jutsu. The melody is also played in non-healing circumstances to create a mood of peace and serenity to everyone in the area.
[₪] Suīto (スイート, lit. 'Suite') is a B-Ranked Genjutsu that has a deep and intense sound to the melody. Once the target(s) are captured in the genjutsu, a new environment will be created around them in the genjutsu where they are shackled to auditorium seats (Their hands bound as to not seal out of the genjutsu). Once bound, a stage will appear, where they will witness several plays of japanese origin. However, the theme of the plays is so gruesome and real that they will go under terrible psychological effects; the genjutsu is a form of torture. If the genjutsu is sustained for long enough, the targets may fall unconscious.
[₪] Sonata (ソナタ, lit. 'Sonata') is a B-Ranked Iryo technique that has such sweet and pure sound to the melody that one is said not to be able to resist it. The technique takes on many of the same properties as the Mystical Palm technique, yet from a distance. The melody will release a healing and soothing chakra that will wrap around a target, closing wounds, as well as providing stamina for those fallen. |
