That's great news. Get a company who has made nothing but mediocre games for the last 5 years, and who has won 2 consecutive awards for Worst Company in America to handle future Star Wars video games. Brilliant idea. I don't see how E.A can screw this one up, given how perfect their past track record is. On a related note, there won't be a new Star Wars game until 2014.

EA will support current gen consoles until 2017 and Battlefront 3 is possibility.

Well, that's the first somewhat good news I've heard in a while, EA does make decent shooters (Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2), imagine a Battlefront 3 on Frostbite 3 Engine :o

Sorry Varkor, I know you're my best friend, but your post made me ill. :( I feel like dying now.

Seriously though, E.A. has never made a good shooter. They are not a good company, and they definitely are not a good example of game developers. They continuously fork out a mediocre quality game ever single year in order to cash in on the wallets of consumers and to make matters even worse, they make DLC that only has an hour or two worth of content and charge consumers $10 - $15 (*cough*, Witch Hunt *cough*). The proof is even there for all of you to see! Just look at their recent track record from 2008 - 2013! They even won an award for Worst Company of America two single consecutive times in a row! Why would anybody on this forum trust a company like E.A to handle Star Wars games?

If you guys remember, Free Radical Design implemented a feature in Battlefront 3 that would allow you to land on planets, from space, in real time without any loading screens. If E.A develops Battlefront 3, they're going to take the feature originally made by Free Radical Design, and they're going to separate it from the main game and sell it off as a Day 1 DLC or something. Imagine that, paying $60 for 50% of the game on launch date, only to pay an extra $15 to receive the rest of the other 50%. Not to mention the potential for online passes, always-on-online features, and other BS that is ruining the gaming industry.

Do you guys honestly believe that E.A is a good successor to making Star Wars games? Just look at their name! E.A = Evil Association!

Really? The Battlefield series to me has always been consistently decent, that's not to say they're amazing, but they're far superior to Call of Duty at least.

As for EA themselves and Battlefront 3 I can see them milking it and making tons of DLC, but I never said they were a good choice per-say, merely they are known for making functional shooters. The Frostbite 2 Engine itself is fairly decent.

Oh god it will suck if KOTOR 3 is made by EA, I'd rather it just be a fantasy
